Following their ongoing relationship with Soma Records, Ukrainian duo Woo York are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. Entitled I Am Against, both the main track and the EP itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people. Fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. You might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from January's clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. The EP also features a special remix from UK Techno producer, Ø [Phase].

Music-wise the EP presents the same idea: the epic energy of the title track highlights the drive that was fuelling peaceful individuals to go out onto the streets and fight for their rights. An excellent remix from Ø [Phase] follows a similar path, although in its own original way that has made the UK-based artist's name associated with the finest techno to date.  Closing the EP 'In The End' is a more abstract side of Woo York's music works that reminds us once again: every single act of violence is bound to come to an end at some point.

After the success of the first A-sides compilation in 2012, Adam Beyer has decided its time to release another. With Adam's stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo's that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks on each, both consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode's core family. Jel Ford kicks off his return EP with two tracks of clean big room techno. The title track ‘Backyard’ is a moody affair with a low drone throughout that is complimented with layered synth stabs. Using reverb to create atmosphere within the track it subtly breaks down before a vocal hook transcends the track to deliver a killer blow. ‘Meeting of Minds’ is dubbier and uses a tripped out synth to add rhythm whilst working alongside a synth pattern to keep the track chugging along. The slow evolving pads add texture and keep the track nicely filled out whilst this timeless classic keeps on giving.

The first of a two-part package of exclusive material from the 17th edition in the Watergate CD series is from none other than the duo who commanded the mix, Pan-Pot. Making it even more special is the fact that both tracks are collaborations with two heavy hitting names in the industry from completely different sides of the musical spectrum: Slam and Vincenzo.

On the A side we see Pan-Pot and Slam do a techno burner with 'Conductor'. This shouldn't come as any surprise as both are well known for their heavy peak time club anthems. With driving hi hats, crisp snares and a thumping kick drum, the solid foundation is laid for the craftsmen to build the rest of their masterpiece and it begins with dark, reverb heavy stabs. Slowly a monotonous yet psychedelic tone takes grip and the stabs come again. This time more frequent and building in energy before getting to the break where the white noise grows and the tension builds. With just a few perfect elements it only takes removing a few pieces and then giving them back at the perfect time to instill a massive 'hands in the air' moment.

The flip side offers another vibe which rounds out the EP perfectly. It was in 2007 on the Pan-ORama album that we last saw Vincenzo and Pan-Pot together for 'Faces'. With 'Fiction Inc' we see both artists’ styles shine through. A warm deep sub bass grabs your attention while washes of glittery synths pan the background setting the stage for the lush key work that Vincenzo is synonymous for and the sinister bleeps that scream Pan-Pot. Finally the feature element reveals itself; a mix between dark and uplifting chords that resolve each cycle of the other elements finalizing in a cohesive, driving, emotional ride.

With the second part of the exclusives from the Watergate 17 CD mixed by Pan-Pot, we see three artists that have close ties to the duo and all reside in the Riverside Studios complex just steps from the club's front door.

First up is Martin Eyerer. A name already well known in the world of dance music, he delivers a stormer with 'Reckless'. Driving drums and a building snare roll keep the energy at a maximum while a descending bass tone creates a passionate attachment for the dance floor. It's the perfect unity of
danceability and emotion rolled into one cohesive theme.

Next up is one of the core artists of Pan-Pot's new imprint Second State, Stephan Hinz. With 'Hungry' he hosts a clinic on how to maintain the intricate balance between the realms of techno and house with big rolling drums and vintage keys. We've heard the keys countless times before, but it takes someone with a level of skill far beyond the average producer to make it feel like it's the first time all over again. A perfect composition, this is the track that can make the crowd go over the edge and save the dance floor. Or, both at the same time.

Finally, to round up the EP, we have another member of the Second State family, Clint Stewart. 'Drenched' is a track that can be utilized under the club lights or beneath the sun and stars. The lo-fi drums chug along while a lead reminiscent of the sounds of old Chicago take over and slowly a bass line that mirrors the lead becomes apparent. As the break nears, a spacey synth circles around and around to forge all the elements into a solid, unified composition.

Clint Stewart - Drenched

Kiev's Yan Cook here steps up from sister label Ann Aimee to big daddy Delsin, as the two imprints have been fused into one going forward. Earlier in the year, the techno man released Morse with the Dutch outfit, and has also impressed on labels like On Records, Planet Rhythm and Dynamic Reflection with his ravey, heavily textured sounds.

The supergroup consisting of MK, Lee Foss, Anabel Englund are gearing up to launch an auditory assault on the world with their chunky and tripped-out take on house music and the first offering has now dropped.

'Ghost In The System' will be released via Hot Creations on December 1 and incorporates the sounds of both Foss and Mk with Englund's soothing vocals to create a track we're sure will be smashed far and wide.

The EP also comes with a track called 'Electricty' that has been remixed by none-other than Detroit legend Carl Craig. Our former cover-star has absolutely nailed his edit and turned in over 12 minutes of rolling, transcending beats.

Portugal’s number one techno export hits us next. Sliver is a trademark A.Paul sound that fits Yin Yand perfectly.. Excellent use of stabs and bass deliver a thunderous techno bomb. Another generous helping of dance by Paulo.

Italy next .. Lorenzo D’Ianni has taken the techno scene by storm.. His powerful productions are a staple diet for many a serious techno Dj..  His productions always do serious damage. Sweden’s Andy Notalez delivers on this beast.. Black Bunker is a dark serious techno hit. Dark yet driving in that Yin Yang style. Tested out on the crowd and you can see the techno delight in there eyes.. Very very sexy..

Czech republic next.. Miquel delivers Blue Moon.. Kick ass techno track done almost in that sexy tech house style. Miquel has been a  long time Yin Yang resident and this track shows why. His production skills are fantastic. This will be highly regarded by many a Yin yang fan.. Gorgeous Tech.

Hailing from Bosnia.. Mika with Wormhole. Mika delivers his 100 release with grace and style.. Another kick ass track that will appeal to all techno and crossover DJs alike. Mika is another favourite of even the likes of Paul Oakenfold and this is why.. Techno that devotees dance floors.. Pure genius..

Zzino was one of the original huge techno creators hailing from Belgium. He used to run Reloaded records. One of the big labels we all remember and talk about. ZZino (The man) is back and writing his best ever tracks, this time with top geezer Guss Carver. Together they make the best techno tracks ever.

The original Jodium (which stands for Iodine) is a super fantastic dirty kick ass track that is sure to be with a winner with everyone that loves techno. The production quality is second to none and its got the dirt to prove it. absolutely amazing original. Think this will becomes a classic.

Remixes come from some of the best who where queuing up to want to remix Zzino (including myself)

Naked Lunch and Ohn Cets very own A.Paul is first up. and .. WOW.. Another killer remix by the Portuguese techno star. The remix for pornogames was huge, we thinks this is just as big (if not bigger) Phenomenal work!

Next up is France's Maverick 'Maverickz'. What can we say this guy is always on top form too. Another killer remix him, he turns the original and makes a much more progressive techno re-edit.. Sheer class. Outstanding remix.

Next up is my remix with Italy's top tough techno man of the moment Lorenzo D'Ianni. The original has been blended and mashed up into a tough techno whirlpool of sexiness. Already proven on the dance floor to make people dance. This is going to be a sure fire hit.

Next up and and no way, least is the huge techno legend Trevor Rockliffe. This Intec man knows hot create that original techno vibe and he manages it again with this masterpiece. Super damn sexy.

All in all .. Another huge release ..
