'From the Middle East to Central America and Russia, a trio of artists blend their talents. Out of the darkness and into the light, Golan Zocher, Gux Jimenez and Mango build a stratified sonic masterpiece from “Only a Shadow”. Subtle organic layers amble through a forest of percussive saplings that sit beneath a towering beat and subterranean groove. Emerging in the dappled moonlit shadows, evocative motifs create an eerie atmosphere before a bassline force springs from the undergrowth and into the open, prowling beneath luscious melody.

Harnessing familiar energies from the darkness, Dowden hypnotises with a new poise and grace. “Only a Shadow” forms in the twilight as white noise crashes in pulsating waves. A mesmerising bassline hits the Toronto streets where it forges a path through pinpricks of melodic light and a seething, rolling rhythmic groove. A pioneering sonic architecture is forged from exquisite St Petersburg and Sao Paulo landscapes. Born in the land of the polar bear and aquavit, Terje Saether loves a dark beat. Inspired by ’80s musical firebrands such as The Cure and Pet Shop Boys, his love of the electronic has seen him release with a slew of high profile imprints including Hope Recordings, Darkroom Dubs and Bedrock.

Opening with ‘Cold Drop’ those dark grooves are very apparent. Deep and hypnotic, it gets under your skin quickly as all good earworms do. For his remix, RGK focuses on the organics to construct a dirty peak time breaks monster.

Next up, ‘Undertow’ works its magic. Again deeply satisfying without ever losing its cool, this will work on the cooler floors perfectly. Irish supremo, Silinder reimagines the original motifs in his immutable style, adding a fresh polish.

With almost 30 years on stage, Berlin’s electronic mainstay Dapayk Solo is back with a new 8-track album that captures everything fans love about him: Minimal vibes, playful experimentation and that unmistakable “Frickel” edge that has become his trademark.
Dapayk Solo — aka Niklas Worgt — has never been one to sit still. From his early days in the ’90s, founding Mo’s Ferry Productions to starting Sonderling Records, he’s shaping the European Minimal scene, his sound has always lived somewhere between the club and the laboratory. 
This new album is a tribute to that evolution. With eight tracks, Dapayk manages to distill decades of experience into a cohesive narrative. 
The record opens with „Bring It Back“, a track that plays with the ultimate withholding of the usual climax and drop — it’s the first of those kind of tracks that pull you in rather than push.
