I deleted this song from the original EP because it just didn't turn out right. It is around on some streaming sites for now until I get them to remove it. The thought when I produced the original in 2017 was that Riddim was bastardizing the name of another genre (Riddim is a style of Reggae) and the people in that Riddim Dubstep scene kinda sucked back then! LOL! The "Humble Lion" Remix is a phat Reggae influenced Dubstep track that has a more rhythmic dub feel to it than the original. I'm proud of this one and happy to share it with fans of all genres, even the toxic ones. Peace and Love!

“Oh Girlie Come” is a romantic fusion of afrobeats, merengue, and reggaeton. The lyrics, composed by Ghanaian singer and composer Rashid Malik a.k.a Leeks, describe the love of a boy for a girl through a phone call conversation that turns into a private concert, describing how wonderful their relationship has been and the many reasons they should stay together. 

With rhythm, melodies and a late night vibe, Dominican producer blended the lyrics and vocals with his authentic sound to bring into life an idea that started in his bedroom in the city of Boston, MA and travel to Ghana, Africa and back to America in order to amaze the world with a mix of cultures that are so distant but yet so closed and connected in many ways.

This composition was created as part of a research-led project exploring the relationship between music and relaxation. It was created as part of my dissertation project on the cognitive and emotional effects of ambient music. Inspired by neuroscience, sound therapy and the song called "Weightless" by Marconi Union. A pop song can be remixed in many different ways to turn it into a completely different style. An outstanding example is Lauv's song “I Like Me Better”, which offers a perfect base for creative experimentation. The steams were heard, the idea were born.
Inspiration was in the air and suddenly it was clear where the journey led. Synths turned up, beats perfected - and the remix was ready. A completely new sound, a fresh perspective on a song that had already moved us. Sometimes it only takes a small idea to create something big.
