This version of River the Destroyer takes inspirations from the hiphop music of the early 90s and puts it into a big band setting.

This composition for woodwind quartet is inspired by my love for a dish from my Cuban heritage. In this typically classical ensemble, I utilize elements of counterpoint, jazz harmony, and rhythmic basis off of a 2-3 son clave.

Brainstatic is inspired by my ADHD experiences. Specifically, the goal of this composition was to depict what it feels like to get ready in the morning while my mind is being pulled in different directions.

Adrian Perez is a jazz bassist and composer currently enrolled in the masters program at the University of Northern Colorado. His music is inspired by a mix of genres including jazz,  hip-hop, classical music, and the music of Latin America. Adrian aims to compose music that is fun to perform while expressing his own wide range of life experiences.
