Inspired by a shared affinity to roots within Africa, the artists draw on the majesty of the Mother Continent to translate inherent ardor and wonder into sound that moves spaces. Through tender melodies and expressive progressions, "The Light" evokes a fire within - ever curious and never burning dim.

Fatoumata Diawara sings mostly in Bambara, a language spoken in Mali. 
"Nterini" translates to "my love/confidant" and depict a man traveling alone, presumably migrating, as his family back home anxiously go about their lives. It shows a snippet of an immigrant's journey without a sense of resolution.

This edit was meant to be spreading the love of her music and the message behind it. The intention was to translate the original version to slower, electronic driven dancefloors and hearts. Enjoy.
