Never Lost

Hey, this is me again! This time I wanted to share a song with you that was mixed and mastered by me. The song is called "Sing Along", performed by Frankie Barranco, oh, and it's also beautiful. As you may know, I try to step out of the genre I usually make and mixing someone's song is a great way to do it and also to learn some new skills. I tried a different approach with this mix and had little time till deadline so maybe it's not perfect, but I hope you enjoy anyway! :)

What Matthew Weiss said about the mix: "It's good. I think your vision for the mix was to just get everything sounding good, which you know, can't really go wrong. But I think there's a lot of opportunity to take this record further with more assertive mixing. Kind of gets there when the choir/gang vox comes in with the big floor tom.". Matthew Weiss is a Grammy nominated and Spellemann Award winning engineer, and I've been watching his tutorials for a long time, so his critique means a lot and it just made my day!
