Chapter 24's latest EP comes from Newcastle producer and DJ Jobe, who has released on labels such as Connaisseur, Steyoyoke, Akbal and, of course, London based label Chapter 24. In the history of latter JOBE is responsible for one of the most favorited and successful tracks, Aurora, so undoubtedly the label bosses Marcus and Sam welcome JOBE back with open arms and most important with a sophisticated and tribal-influenced 4 tracker called 'Changes' - probably re-writing the label's formula of success. The EP's opening track 'Rafari' is arranged around an African vocal but leaves the 'world music path' with the sound design of the track's instrumental approach. JOBE focuses on a  lead-synth that accepted the challenge of bringing two different musical approaches together and leads the track skillfully into a more techno direction.

JOBE's EP 'Changes' will be out November 10th, 2017 on Chapter 24.

Next up on Man Power's Me Me Me label is a 12" by "Forriner" aka Lee Forster and Oli Worriner. Man Power made music together with Lee for years (alongside Mick Rolfe) as Last Waltz. Lee also worked as Lizards with James Hadfield (James released solo for Me Me Me 02). Oli Worriner is a talented young northerner who’s already making a great name for his solo output, both under his own name and his Traela "Alias", as well his label. The originals are a bright mix of melodically analogue left leaning house, while the remixes zero-in on a punchier dancefloor vibe, with an epic version Goodnight, as well a more heads down Disco Dub. One of the most talked about remixes of 2019 gets an official release as Camille Luciani’s stunning rework of The Temper Trap’s 2008 global hit ’Sweet Disposition’ comes out on Renaissance Records / BMG on 13 December. 

Camille Luciani, one of France’s brightest new dance talents, creates a stirring and highly atmospheric update of the Australian indie rock outfit’s seminal 2008 anthem, which has achieved cult status in recent years, featuring in the film ‘(500) Days of Summer’ and clocking over 260 million streams on Spotify alone. 

“I’d been a fan of the band for more than 10 years”, explains Camille, “Their music was always there for me; one day I just decided to give them something in return and chose Sweet Disposition, which is a timeless track that I always wanted to bring my vision to. So, initially it was more for fun than an official release. It was only after sending it to Dougy and Lorenzo - the band themselves - that things began to develop. I’m delighted it’s now getting an official release.” 

The remix takes the listener on an emotional journey, emphasising the brooding percussion alongside clever layering of the blissful vocal. The poignant piano refrain and swirling, intense beats result in a beautiful, yet powerful reinvention, perfect for peak-time dance-floors, which has already received many ID requests on social media. Major support has come from globally-renowned duo Tale Of Us who have played it as their closing track on many of the world’s biggest stages, including Printworks London, Gashouder Amsterdam and Ushuaïa Ibiza, each time receiving a euphoric, ‘hands in the air’ crowd reaction.

Mind Against are back on Afterlife with two emotive, dancefloor masterpieces. ‘Walking Away’, featuring the deeply-affecting vocals of Port St. Willow, centers around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern. It strikes that special balance of light and dark which makes Mind Against’s tracks uniquely cathartic. ‘Bloom’ is more a melancholy, downtempo interpretation of their vision. The percussion is restrained and sits deep below atmospheric pads and piano chords, eventually arriving at a gradual and subtle peak. Mind Against reach euphoric heights once again, though this time by a patient and reflective path.
