I woke up this morning, went to the bathroom to start my normal routine. As I brush my teeth, I look into the mirror and don't see me. Tired, I rub my eyes, wash my face, and look again. Same face. I don't recognize who's in the mirror. I take a photo with my camera. Still the same person in the mirror. Everyone calls me by name. They know me. But I don't look like myself.

As I sit at my office, I still ponder who I saw in the mirror. I ask everyone if I look different. They say I have done something different with my hair. Anger swells my brain as all I can think is, "Who did I see in the mirror?"

I look through my phone and see memories from days long gone. It's me. That's me. That's my face. Why don't I look like that? I ask a friend, "Why don't I look like him anymore?" Confused, they walk away and leave me with my thoughts.

I go home, broken from this day of wondering. As I look through my memories, I see it. Why I'm different.

My smile is gone.
The love in my eyes is gone.
My soul is gone.

I'm me, but I only look like me. I'm the person in the memories, but not the same.

What happened? Years of heartbreak, abuse, mental health issues, and being thrown under the bus? I'm me, surely, but I look into the mirror and I don't see myself anymore. Why did I lose myself? Why can't I recognize myself?

Sadness turns into anger. Anger breaks the mirror and shows me what I've not been seeing. I see my face in hundreds of bits, each one different from the last. Each one tells me a story.

A story of love and loss. A story of trial and error. A story of a world that made me into me. And I didn't hold onto myself enough. I wasn't strong enough.

Who am I? Why did this happen?

Progression is natural, but my heart and soul are gone. All that is left are the tears that run down my face as I look into the broken mirror and say,

"Will I ever find me again?"

Midnight Drive

Another ambient leaning future garage/ post dubstep EP, because I don't know how to write a pop track. Truthfully I've been sitting on all of these since Shrine came out, and I've been trying to figure out where to take my sound from there. I guess this is more of a wound down project inspired by the trips back and forth between Texas and Washington, and the contrast between the harsh sun and humidity of hill country, and the puget sounds more muted grays and blues.

Snooty description aside, I just need more space on my hard drive, and I couldn't bring myself to throw these tracks out.

A god shaped hole. The barren desolation of a fallen and failed creation. You see the light of long dead stars. Your existence is nothing but an echo of a dying god's screams. The unseen converges. Surrounds you. And it tightens like a noose.

BLVCK S3RMØN (you can also write it as BLVCK S3RMON) was born during the 2020 pandemic as a cathartic outlet to reconnect with myself and the world. 

My music for this project blends emotional depth with dark, bass-driven atmospheres, drawing inspiration from trap, electronica, ambient, trip hop, and witch house.

It’s a space where evolving melancholy meets raw energy—shifting moods and tones like a sonic mirror to you, the listener.
