Gun Gremlin

I've been messing around in FL Studio since I was 13. I don't really know how to play any instruments and have taken the "self teaching" route with my music. I use my computer, FL Studio as my DAW, and various sample libraries and VST plugins to create my music. I'd love to incorporate real hardware in to my music creation process, but I already waste enough of my money on custom mechanical keyboards (the non-musical kind) and video games as it is!

I like to experiment with whatever genres catch my interest, but I particularly like atmospheric down beats and pretty much the entire umbrella of the synthwave genre and all its weird sub-genres that may or may not actually exist. They say that about the metal genre too, and I like metal a lot so perhaps there's a pattern here.

Anyway, creating music that doesn't sound bad or monotonous is challenging for me since it's not something I spend a ton of time doing. Creating chord progressions and melodies that sound halfway decent is probably what takes up most of my time when I'm making a track. My skills often plateau since I don't spend a lot of time making music, but maybe one day I'll stop building keyboards and playing video games as much and spend more time trying to make my music sound less bad.
