This is my entry to the newest contest at Cymatics, The SLAYER contest.

I been feeling very nostalgic for early 2000's Trance music so... just like Silent Periods, I made a track that calls back to those classics... making it as close as possible to have that nostalgic feeling i have :]

The song is about the feeling of not being able to let go of a love, a passion, something that you know has no purpose in your life anymore... but can't quite get rid of it.

In the story is about a young lady who has an obsession with a man she has a crush on... but this man is not a good influence for her... and she knows it... but still finds that attraction towards him.
Throughout the track, she recognizes that her obsession is not healhty... and wants to escape the Frozen Highway... a highway that goes nowhere.

So by the minute 3:50 she finds the courage to finally let go... and now her whole world unfreezes. Now full of color with multiple highways, she smiles: ''I can see clearly now... that obsession... was taking the life out of my road... i must push forward now, and return to my highway!''

May be the last full song I wrote in logic pro before switching to Ableton. It's a vibe for sure. I'm going through my backups looking for some samples right now and I figure I might upload some unreleased tunes from way back before I canned the carton.
