'Bones' is a song written to explain my perspective of having Autism. Not fitting in with others, being misunderstood, people giving you the freedom to be yourself and then scalding you for doing so...

Bones shows the vulnerable side others don't get to see, and don't get to know how it makes you feel to live in a world you don't belong, with expectations you cannot fit into.

'Passenger' is about the wrong decisions we make, and accepting it as a destructive part of ourselves that we need to let go.

'The Letter' is a song about male mental health and suicide. Men are allowed to be vulnerable, hurt, upset, need time to think, recover, recuperate but the freedoms to allow this is rarely granted due to pre-existing stereotypes and lack of support.

The empty guitar sound was purposeful to represent the feeling of being alone with emotion stripped back.

'Hold Fire' is about lack of trust of others. The want and need to belong, feel valued, part of something...though ultimately as much as you want, the knowing that your trust will be used, manipulated against you by people you want to trust, want to befriend. Some people accept the risk, others don't think it is worth the reward.

Water (Draft)

Sometimes no matter what you do, it isn't good enough. Good intentions are taken the wrong way, people see good nature and use it to their advantage, and people want to bring you down to their level when it's easier for them to drag you down than to lift themselves. On occasion, it seeps through and the low mood kicks in. But as history has taught me, a lot of the time when someone wants to hurt you, it is because they are hurt too.

This song was written in one of those times for me, and thought I would share it.

Diagnosed as an adult with Autism. Writing music is  my way of making sense of life up to that point, and after. 

The strength is in words, the music is just the place holder.
