AD started in 2010 when Sean Parker (MC, Engineer), Holly Pinheiro (MC), and Kellen Key (DJ) met through Ultimate Frisbee while attending the University of Iowa. The groups name refers to the fact that every member was enrolled in a graduate program.

After graduation Kellen sold out for the money and no longer makes beats. The groups emcees can now be found driving around the streets of Portland spitting freestyles.
