This is a song I began in around about 2011. I wrote a couple of verses and it then sat in my lyrics book for years. I came back to it in early 2017 and managed to finish it off and what you hear is the end result.

This song was written in Aaugust 2017 and originally started as a slow country style song, with a finger picking style to it. As  I began recording, it developed into what you now hear.

The Last Time

Ady Young is a singer/songwriter from Norfolk, England.

His musical journey started when he was about 12 years old, when he was introduced to a cassette tape containing a collection of 50's and 60's songs. The one song which stood out and had a ever-lasting effect on Ady was Buddy Holly's 'Everyday'. This inspired Ady to pick up a guitar and learn to play. 

Ever since, Ady has surrounded himself in music and, when he was 18, he responded to an ad in a local music shop window, resulting in Ady playing in his first band, touring the local area and playing a variation of covers, including The Beatles and Oasis.

Ady wrote his first song this same year, 'Come & Go', a simplistic acoustic 12 bar blues song, and so began a life-long passion for creating music.

Since that time, Ady has played in acoustic based duos and trios, as well as continuing to write and record.

In 2017 Ady joined up with a friend to begin playing live again and showing his music to people, playing at open mic nights and eventually entering a local music competition. Being one of 29 entrants, Ady and his sidekick managed to win the competition and be featured in local media.
