A fun, funky, cheesy house mix I played at a friends house party recently.

Fun house party mix

A happy, lovey, cheesy drum n bass mix I played at a good friends wedding after party. While I've always loved DnB, I usually prefer the darker, more serious sounds in the genre, so this was a bit outside my usual taste. But seeing as my good friends who were getting married love happier, cheesier sounds (and it was for their wedding), I tailored this set specifically for the theme and their enjoyment, and was proud I pulled it all together well, it went down an absolute treat.

I am really proud of this set I put together and played recently at a mates 40th house party. I am absolutely stoked with how the track selection, flow and mixing all came together so well.

Deep Journey Drum and Bass

Played at two close friends private party out in the Otways, and being that they are old doofer friends, they suggested maybe I could play some psy, which is not a genre I have mixed before, but one we have always enjoyed when out in the bush at a doof.

Quite happy with how this one came together, just some good old fashioned dancefloor stompers, that were received very well at 1am.

I really enjoyed putting this together and playing it for everyone, so maybe I'll do this again :)

10-20-40 Private Party - Psytrance

I got invited to play a 'Please Remain Seated' set at a private party. The concept of please remain seated is one that really resonates with me; a comfortable, cozy, mood lighting lit space is provided for those gathered to sit and engage on a deeper level with music. Close your eyes and fully embrace a more chilled, ambient or experimental selection of musical journeys curated by the artists, allowing everyone to really dive deep into the depths of sound, emotion, and connection.

The whole night was amazing, the sets that everyone played were all very different, eclectic, and inspiring, really showcasing the breadth and depth of our collective love for all sorts of music. It was a real masterclass of top tier musical passion that will remain firmly locked into my core memories.

For my contribution to this, I decided to blend two genres that I absolutely love; wave and chilled out dubstep, both for the emotion I feel from these genres, as well as the deep basslines and haunting melodies and vocals. I included some interesting remixes of familiar tunes as well.

This is probably my favourite mix I've done so far, and it's a genre that I absolutely love, it's really chill dnb and a subgenre called microfunk. I recorded this on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and this set is perfect for that vibe.
