November is officially our birthday month so we're kicking off the celebrations with this mix recorded live from our 16th Birthday at Corsica Studios. It's the early hours of Sunday morning, Tim Reaper & Mantra step up at 5.30am, room 1 is heaving, Moose, Blackeye and Double O are vibing! It's raw, uncut, raggo but totally captures what the last set at Rupture is all about. We were unsure whether to put this up as it's a bit distorted in parts but we hope you bare with us and can hear past the snap crackle and pop and enjoy the beautiful sounds of 94/95 jungle played on vinyl. J:Kenzo and Basic Rhythm join forces on 'Strontium Dog / Mek Quake', landing on Metalheadz for the first time together with a release inspired by the iconic 2000 AD comic series. The project began with Basic Rhythm's idea to build tracks around characters from the comic, later bringing J:Kenzo into the fold to shape the drums and overall energy. The first track they completed, 'Mek Quake', was quickly signed by Goldie, with 'Strontium Dog' following soon after.

Across both cuts, the pair explore contrasting sides of drum & bass: 'Strontium Dog' rolls with tense, atmospheric precision, while 'Mek Quake' drives forward as a heavyweight stepper. Futuristic yet rooted in foundation, the release captures two producers united by both a shared love and vision for the sound.
