Hammer shares his ‘Highland’ EP feat. Lili Chan, blending ethereal vocals with bold, sweeping synths to stunning effect. Released on the HE.SHE.THEY. label, the project showcases their unique synergy and creative spark.
Their partnership was immediate—Hammer, a dynamic presence in the electronic music scene, is known for both his genre-defying DJ sets and his innovative productions, with notable supporters like Gerd Janson, Bicep, and Jamie Jones backing his work.
Lili Chan, who debuted last year with Wabi Sabi on HE.SHE.THEY. Records, has quickly established herself as a rising talent. Her groundbreaking year includes ongoing support from BBC Radio 1’s specialist dance shows, a Guest Mix on 1Xtra, and standout performances at major venues like Drumsheds and Fabric.
For this EP, the pair drew on a sweeping sense of imagination for the title track. “‘Highland’ is about being awestruck by the limitless possibilities of the mind,” they explain. The track features euphoric melodies paired with Lili Chan’s soaring vocals.
On Avalanche, the duo took inspiration from one of the iconic venues on their tour circuit: “We wanted a heads-down club banger, something that would fit perfectly at Fabric.” When they debuted it there, the crowd’s reaction was nothing short of ecstatic.

Last year, Vinny Villbass ́ album ́Windows ́ displayed the artists eminent range of organic house
creations, with excellent feedback. Now, the album soundscapes has been re-arranged by a
wide range of producers, resulting in a remix series being released this fall on badabing
diskos.

Windows remixed #2 presents works by London record digger and Swirl founder Megan Leo,
and badabing ́s hypnotic deep house regular Sommerfeldt.

Megan Leo makes a turn towards the cosmic rock edit scene and fips the french guitar house
track ́Ski Station ́ into a chuggy downtempo affair. Sommerfeldt transforms ́Go To Stay ́ into a late night time traveler, a tad further into space than the original, withs Khan ́s vocal hooks swirling about the axes of a soft, loopy and hypnotic
groove.

From rock downtempo to deep hypno house, this second remix release presents two poles of
the cosmic.

It is obvious Ben soaked up the sun drenched culture and musical inspirations down under, as his latest INKAL release "Systéme Solaire" showcases Ben's diversity in the studio, and a more melodic side to Ben's sound that perfectly balances musicality while maintaining underground credibility, amounting to what is arguably Ben's strongest work yet. 
With multiple represses on each INKAL release so far, the momentum is building for Ben and INKAL004 will only serve to enhance his ever-burgeoning reputation as a purveyor of dancefloor-ready weapons.

The EP kicks off with the title-track A-side "Systémes Solaire", a track which displays all the trademark influences Ben Rau has become synonymous for , as expert drum programming glitchy percussion and a rolling funk bassline combine to provide the groove.

"Systéme Solaire" has hooky elements in abundance, as a combination of chord work and constantly evolving synths team up to create a memorable, peak-time bomb. The B-side, "Expand", continues in the same vein, as a short, bubbling bass stab drives the track forward and modulates to provide an acid vibe, joined again by luscious piano chords and licks and the Expand' vocal, which switches up from a whispering atmospheric to a heavily effected, pitched tone that keeps interest throughout. All the while accentuated by fractured groovy percussion, piano licks and open hats that shine over the whole track.

With big hitter support on the EP already both INKAL and Ben Rau's career continue to go from strength-to-strength.
