This song was originally written when I was in a dark place and at the end of my relationship with Estrella. That was when I was 23, but I've found that this is pretty relevant break up song at the end of every relationship I've had since then. I used to tell Estrella that trying to be friends with someone after you've broken up would be like trying to walk your dog after it's died or dead. It just wouldn't be the same and it never would be again. Since I wrote this song, I'm proud to announce that I have found my own damn town, and don't need anyone to hold me down or take care of me- even when I do feel alone or I'm going through something. It's funny how sometimes when bad things happen in my life I think its the end and there will be no fixing my life or the problem- or how I'll never get over it. But I always make it through or get over everything. 😅
