Weeping and with his head bowed

The trees bowed their heads while the

                              Said, "How the exalted falls
Because he transgressed
The commandment of his Lord."

Unto the ages of ages and forevermore.

Our Lord called out to Adam,
"Why do you sleep in Sheol?"
The Son told Adam to rise
Adam began to say thus:
                              "How sweet and fair is this voice
                              and how pleasant is its sound
This voice is like that
Which called me among the trees"

My Throbbing Heart

My throbbing heart has become Your bed, 
In the curves of my chest, I have hid Your dwelling,

I have left the universe, in its disorder
And abandoned everything, so I may live with You

I have no thought, nor opinion nor 
Any other desire, but to follow You

And my father Jacob, I know his secret; 
I know now how, he wrestled You

O you the kindest-hearted, how sweet are You, 
Exalted above all and feared, how glorious are you

O mighty One holding, a whip in your palm 
And your love for us yields tears for You

The universe cannot contain You, how small it is,
