I wrote this song in 1991 for my oldest son Benjamin when he was just 2 weeks old while he lay on my lap sleeping.

Benjamins Quest

Latest version of this song.  Added a second part, automated the mix, added some dynamic filter sweeps to the chorus lead and baseline, light mastering reverb and some warming up.

Dark Beat

Probably started this song back in 2010.  I originally recorded all the parts as loops into adobe audition but could never get it to work right.  Shelved the whole thing until I got Ableton.  I have been replacing the original recordings with soft instruments and now only 2 of the original sounds are left.  I finished the arrangement about 6 months ago and finalized some of the sounds today 1-25-2015.  I wrapped up automation, reverb and mastering and here it is.  I hope everyone enjoys it.  I wrote this song for my daughter.

This is the song desert storm re-imagined and completed in Ableton.  

Summer Storm

This song all started with a melody that I had in a dream with a dog walking along, the vantage point was at the dogs eye level.  I got up and quickly went down stairs and hummed the melody into Ableton.  I converted it to MIDI and corrected the notes as needed since I was half asleep and couldn't hum well.  I wrote the rest in stages.

DogWalk

Completed 10-21-2015 The song originated with the starting melodies and for a long time remained unfinished.  I finally got inspired and completed this song.  I love the finished product.

This song originally had another name but I don't remember it.  It is a rather long song that does not follow the normal commercial curve but I still like it.  One of my favorites.

Losing a Part of Me

Song Creation for me is breathing life into sound and providing purpose through melody.  I love that feeling right after the first moment of creation.  Just moments before, that precious little piece of a song didn't exist and now it does all shiny and new.
