Part III of our debut album "A Night For the Troubled", released in August of 2016. This 40+ minute concept album is broken up into 6 separate tracks, and tells the story of an unnamed character dealing with insomnia, dreams, and nightmares upon arriving home after a long day. Our character is ultimately left with the choice to use these thoughts to change their outlook, and approach the next day in the hopes that they can make the future look brighter.

Pt. III: Staring At Static

This is the fourth track off of our debut album, released in 2016. This song represents dreams and nightmares, and how easily the two are interchangeable. It is the centerpiece of the album, as it is very musically driven, going from section to section with unexpected transitions.

Part IV: Existing Within The REM

This is our 5th song off of our debut album, "A Night For the Troubled", released in 2016.

This song is a favorite of the band to play live, because of its catchy chorus, blues guitar solo, and interesting dynamics throughout. 

It represents side 2 of the album and represents the process of trying to remember your dreams as you wake up and slowly get out of bed. It also has some allusions to dreams a member of the band was having about an ex, and it asks the question:

Is waking up from a bad nightmare or a good dream better?

It leaves it for the listener to decide.

Part V: Awaken Away

This is the album closer to our debut album, "A Night For the Troubled". Like the album starts, it ends with a drawn out, post rock influenced piece. Less conventional song structure than "Regretful Insomnia" or "Awaken Away", it builds up from a single guitar line, includes the famous speech by Charlie Chaplin from "The Great Dictator", has a few lyrics and wordless vocals, before reaching a climax and ultimately finishing with a bass line getting softer and softer. Wind comes in and the album ends as it began. 

This was an emotional piece to write, and we are very thankful for the help of the Charlie Chaplin Foundation to make it happen. Like his famous speech, the song is about using the information of the dark days or moments that we currently find ourselves in to better ourselves in the future. It is a song of hope, and we hope it inspires you or helps you in some way.

Part VI: View Of The Sunrise

Our full band cover of the Porcupine Tree classic, "Open Car". This was taken from the "Fusion: The Next Level" live stream that aired on August 29, 2020. 

Porcupine Tree is one of our favorite bands of all time, and we are glad that we have been able to put this cover together. We used to perform this cover live during the early stages of the band, but haven't done it in years. Glad to see that we are not too out of practice with it.

Open Car (Porcupine Tree Cover)

Our full band cover of the Porcupine Tree song "Fear of A Blank Planet." This was a self-made garage recording during the 2020 COVID pandemic. It was partly made to keep ourselves productive during the lockdown, partly made as a thank you to fans of Porcupine Tree who were so kind about our "Open Car" cover, and partly made as a last hoorah with our singer Gasper before he moved across the country.

We previously covered this song years ago at our very first live show with Fernando as our new drummer. We felt it was time to revisit it, and give it the proper treatment.
