The little things I've loved in life
are now in decline
Many values I've admired
are being despised
And the things made just for fun, 
are denounced unproductive - and that's a big no-no!
They can only bring you joy
you can't measure them in gold

 Sometimes I need to lift-off
 to get a wider view,
 to get some air

Eyes wide shut on collision course
more! more! as the driving force
Advantages for the very few
the current trend in economy   
The masters of unbounded greed stuff their egos,    
fix their deals - and we're bleeding
Curators of disparity are never the ones who 
pick up the pieces 

 But the thoughts still run free,
 they run like little insects
  towards the light
 Through cracks they'll always find their way
  towards the light
 To uncharted fields they fly 
 from the lands of shadeless grey

So many people believing
that their opinion's the only truth
Bigotry and hate is cheap
as they're spilling poison, spilling blood
The nations short on warmth
and short on memory  
silently blessing violence
as a common policy

 Sometimes I need to lift-off
 to get a wider view,
 to get some air
 Every now and then I'm drowning
 in the waves of chaos
 and fear       (The ball of confusion)
 
Could it be that you've misunderstood
your importance and your place?
Yes, it's a dog eat dog world
and that's exactly what we've made
"It’s just the nature’s way, signs of the times" you say,
but the times are we
So how’s it going to be, 
do you decrease or add to the misery?
