Alexander Robles aka Le.x (@lexmusix), loves synthesizers and underground music. Grown up on the Isla del Carmen, Mexico he traversed different electronic music genres for a decade: from psytrance and hard techno over tech house. Until he found his own sound in minimal music, for reasons he calls “auditory maturation”.

The sets and productions of Le.x are strongly influenced by the typical sounds, of all varieties of minimal music. On the other hand, he has a favour for percussion instruments of a certain pitch and cosmic sounds. The fusion of those elements, electronic and more instrumental ones, create a rather ethnical mix. This allows him to fully put his imagination and creativity into his music, which has been released on labels like Microgravity Music (Mexico), Daisy Records (Romania) or SouthTech Music (Mexico).  

For us the relentless character of his tracks is what makes them so special. Through the absence of breakdowns, and the deeply atmospheric, background-based pads, he gives his productions a constant drive. The more salient drums, then, create the particular grooves. It is all rounded up by what could be called his signature, bubbly underwater-like textures.

Right from the start Papilla's set creates a mystical atmosphere. Are these sirens? (Mis)leading us into the open sea, or just another adventure? Or those the sweet voices of our sisters, calling from the shore to welcome us home. There is something familiar in his sound, as much as a raw uncertainty.

Vito, the person behind @papillaminimal , is no less enigmatic. Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, he has been involved with music all his life, before he concentrated on electronic music, and more precise minimal grooves. His productions seem effortless and confident. A state of mind he tries to make accessible for more underground producers and newcomers through his label @podvodo . He concentrates, as he says, on creating spaces in which they are able to express themselves creatively.
