The National Park of Saxon Switzerland in eastern Germany, south-east of Dresden offers endless ways to have a great hiking journey. The 93 km region between Pirna and the Czech border is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. More than 700 summits are available to rock climbers, while for those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, there are 400 km² of marked hiking-trails, steep treks, paths and some cycle routes through the National Park. In this area, called the Erz mountains, we found our beautiful cover stone with a typical Ore layer inside.

Saytek is very well known in the UK scene for performing incredible, innovative hardware live sets. His "Machine Jams" live album received global critical and public acclaim, becoming one of Carl Cox's favourite albums of the year. Saytek released under well respected labels in the industry such as Robot, Soma, Monique Musique, Lucid Flow, Love Not Money, Wiggle and many more.

New Saytek’s EP "Berlin / Warsaw LIVE" is to be released on 30th April under the Hike Recordings, whilst Klubikon premiers AERZ’s edit of the track "Warsaw LIVE" - a combination of high energy pumping in 4x4 rhythm in a dynamic play of acid voice effects and a continuous burst of percussions. Sudden FX details, glitches and tiny distortions create an edgy vibe that makes the track even more intense.

Revelation of Sound is happy to present the next guest, talented artist from Germany AERZ (AKA Mathias Maier), one of the founders of HIKE Recordings ("Crystal clear lakes, impressive mountains, soothing forests and Berlin Techno music").Mathias is the middle child of a thoroughly gifted Techno family. Having soaked up the spirit of Electronic Music early on, he turned out a natural born autodidact, acquiring every aspect of end-to-end productions from scratch. Putting all is heart into his House duo for many years, it took him until 2016 to finally launch is first legit solo project: "AERZ". Its vision being to share his very personal conception of Electronic Music - always on the hunt for new sounds, while staying true to his roots. To go all the way, Mathias knew he'd have to expand the project beyond its natural confines, so him and his buddy Stefan set out to establish a suitable platform, and thus Hike Recordings was born.

The Hike 007 Vinyl comes from SCHMUTZ, rooted in Belfast. Belfast is Northern Ireland's capital. It was the
birthplace of the RMS Titanic, which famously struck an iceberg and sunk in 1912. This time we present
you the Divis Ridge Trail. The Divis Ridge Trail is an approximately four-mile walk from the Long Barn to
the Black Mountain and the Mournes. The route overlooks Belfast, with a 180-degree view of the city on
one side, and of the Mournes on the southern side. Spot birds of prey, like peregrine falcons, along the
way.

In 2016, Lindwood's and Aerz's paths crossed and they soon hooked up for some studio sessions.
Turns out their interests pair up well both musically and personally - within a matter of days the idea came up to create a platform that somehow combines all of their favorite passions. Hike was born.

As the name suggests, both label founders embrace extensive inspiring nature hikes to recharge their creativity. In order to combine both worlds they not only strive for high-end productions, but also to share their close affinity to nature.
Thus each release offers an elaborate description of the hiking area that directly influenced its compositions, while the cover design features a local mineral.

Hike embodies contemporary Techno music that goes beyond tradition, by dipping into new-school spaces, while staying true to the "roots" - both acoustically and geologically.
