Show Us Your Music - SAS

Here's a track made using samples taken from the Tom Holkenborg Percussion library for the #FullContactCompetition. Also features some additional sounds from Tom's Desert Dystopian library as well strings from the free OT Helix library.

The brief was to create a drum dialogue between two tribes. That's certainly how my piece started out, but it sort of evolved naturally so I just decided to let go and see where I ended up.  

I deliberately panned some of the high toms right and left, using stereo to evoke a call and response between the two tribes.

When the strings come in, this had me in mind of a temporary ceasefire, before the struggle starts again.

Anyway, I'm sure it sounds nothing like my description, but hey, it was fun to play with Tom's percussion all the same.

Just sounds like something is gone (which sadly seem to fit into these days where so many things - be it nature, be it human -, seems to be gone or just fading away.....)
