Probably the shortest song I've ever written!!
We have some very old cemeteries here in Killingworth CT that I like to visit every now and then. On one visit I found a very crude stone that was mostly buried in dirt and leaves. The slab was marked “E. Buell 1747 age 1 month ” or something similar. It was very crudely made from a piece of slate and the lettering was scratched in with a knife or a nail. I can only imagine the circumstances that it was made in, someone with little skill or resources just making what they could to mark the burial site of someone who never had a chance at life…

First, I would like to say thank you for reading this. That means that you liked my songs enough to see what I’m about. That means a lot to me.
I’m a working man and a family man. The years digging ditches and breaking my back to put food on the table, has given me enough ammo to write a song or two. I like to write songs about real life with all of its struggles, beauty and grit…

In this digital age of perfect music I'm trying to leave the human imperfections in the tracks. Most parts are done straight through with no splices. A missed note or chord here or there, bit out of time...trying to keep it raw. Maybe I go too far sometimes?
