My name is Ey.rah, and I’m a Swedish dj based in Paris .

• What are your artistic influences apart from electronic music ? 
It can really be anything, wherever I’m able to find an emotion conveyed that inspires me, whether it be in music, cinema, nature or even cooking ! :) 

• What track would you have liked to produce ?
Completely unrelated to production or techno, but Flow by Sade haha :’)

• Name us 3 labels / artists to follow closely
First one is a given, make sure to check out @demian_records_ and the 4 amazing artists behind the label, NN, Öspiel, San-ju ni and Znzl. Special mention to keep your eyes out for @ingwerter a new alias of @_znzl_, some of his upcoming tracks are hidden in this mix. 
Another amazing label to not miss is Ygam, run by 2 other incredible artists @otonenoto and @catartsis_music.
Last label does not necessarily fall into what I normally play out, but I’m obsessed with the label @omenwapta since a few months. If you’re into really ethereal sound design make sure to check it out!

• What are your wishes for the future ?
I would say for people to be more curious musically, and not be too stuck in only going/listening to the big headliners or whoever is popping on social media.

We premiere new music from Italian techno stalwarts Boston 168 as they unleash their Gigantia EP on Ellen Allien’s BPitch label. We feature ‘Hit By The Star’ an ethereal acid-soaked club tool that perfectly soundtracks a hazy festival sunrise.

The Turin-based techno duo Boston 168 serve up a four-track EP of unfiltered techno euphoria on Ellen Allien‘s fabled BPitch imprint. Gigantia, slated for release on September 1st, expands on the sonic palette they’ve explored over three prior EPs on BPitch, as well as a 2019 debut on the widely tipped sub label UFO Inc.

Having begun their musical explorations independently, old friends Sergio Pace and Vincenzo Ferramosca began making music together in 2014, birthing what would then become their highly acclaimed moniker of Boston 168 (a nod to the address of their first ever studio). Building a name for themselves from an expansive strain of techno with vast spatialities, the duo’s organic approach to production has guided their musical output ever since. With a penchant for improvisation and a beloved collection of well-used hardware, their sound has carried them through an illustrious career to date, including the running of their own imprint.

Gigantia sees the duo drawing upon the industrial roots of their hometown, merging a range of influences with a distinctly melodic take on acid techno. With a strong affinity for carving sonic spaces, the four-track package is a masterclass in production, with each track exercising careful restraint in its acoustic arrangement. The result is a precisely orchestrated dose of unrelenting dancefloor power, and an authentic nod to the underground spirit that inspired it.

We premiere 'Hit By The Star' which sees the duo head straight to the main floor with a peak time burner of cavernous kick drums, tripped out acid swirls and haunting melodic leads.

Stockholm born, Paris based DJ, Ey.rah has fast become one to watch in the world of progressive electronic music. Her time spent living across Europe & Hong Kong built her a diverse musical culture and made her a wide-ranging selector.

Perfecting her DJ skills early on, in classic and contemporary rap music, later turned into a journey through the many realms of electronic music. Her endless appetite to broaden her knowledge has today led her to find her grounds in techno with a sound unique to her, that is pounding, textured and groovy.

Unafraid of paying homage to her whole musical spectrum, she skillfully challenges the image of modern techno with an approach full of contrast. It leaves you invited into a foolproof universe, which is dark but never desperate, never lacking in energy and always leaves you wanting to come back for more.
