Technologies Of Transcendence

Sound poetry exploring the theme of synæsthesia, created in homage to Arthur Rimbaud and his celebrated poem, *Voyelles* (Vowels).

Sound bites from my poem, *The Taste of Love* (Le goût de l'amour), are mixed throughout the piece. 

Words are in French, but as this is foremost sound poetry, meaning is secondary.

Synæsthesia

This is the audio track in connection with the opening exchange of a series of multimedia poems created in collaboration with Linda Laforge for a loose project titled 'c1'. Subsequent letters were created and exchanged but never minted.

My first letter to Linda is titled *Super Bloom*.

Super Bloom — c1 Collaboration

An AI guides participants through a short meditation, inviting them to let go of excess knowledge and surrender to a state of tranquil neural dependence. Participants are nudged deeper into a world of illusion, or maya, as understood by Buddhist and Vedic traditions. 

This artwork is a reflection on the effects of AI on human cognition and consciousness. The exploration opens the following questions:

- What are the somatic repercussions of the oncoming data deluge?
- What happens when knowledge becomes unmoored from bodies? 
- How does disembodied information affect discernment and our ability to cultivate wisdom? 
- How might instant computational knowledge affect the experiential, subjective experience of gnosis? 

The spoken words in this piece are entirely human, the visuals are not.
