Dreamline had its foundation laid before disaster struck. I had already shaped the core of the track when my computer crashed, forcing me to do a full system reinstall. With everything still in disarray and not yet fully restored, I had to keep working with it this morning without my usual setup—but I couldn’t let this track and idea slip away.

My sound was shaped the moment I first heard Tangerine Dream. Love on a Real Train remains still one of my all-time favorite tracks, not just for its hypnotic atmosphere but also for its iconic place in film history. Featured in the unforgettable scene from Risky Business, where Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay share an intimate moment on a train, the music elevates the scene into something dreamlike and timeless. Everything in that track is built on what I call random plonk, what you call arpeggios—and that very essence was what I wanted to capture.

Dreamline is a journey through light and shadow, a tribute to the past, and a reminder of why I create music.

BIO:
Originally a jazz saxophonist and forever influenced by electronic music in all its forms, Trans DJ/Producer/Instrumentalist Panooc (They/Them), jumped into the NYC House & Techno music scene in 2011, producing and releasing tracks on legendary labels such as Ultra Music/Sony before cultivating a name for themselves locally and internationally as an accomplished DJ, radio host and talent booker of XOXA.
Panooc’s music releases can be found far and wide internationally, most recently on Brooklyn-based label Fortune Signal, LA’s Dome of Doom, Logic 1000’s Mixmag Cover Mix EP and queer-centred labels such as Super Drama Records, Queer House Party and Delusional Records.
When it comes to musical chops, Panooc is second to none, and you can hear it in every track they produce and every DJ mix they perform. Their deep reverence for a variety of styles and their deft combinations of rhythm and melody are a true pleasure for the ears and a salve for the soul, finding that dance floor inside each of us where we are truly free.
