Since a few months of silence Indigo Aera returns with a series of new exiting releases. Kickstarting the new season with one of Parisian's finest: Antigone. Besides being a resident at Parisian's Concrete movement, Antigone is responsible for highly acclaimed releases on Construct Re-form and Ars Mechanica, Children Of Tomorrow and the Concrete label itself.

Antigone's signature sound is a fine blend of soul searching strings on top of cutting edge sci-fi techno rhythms as evidenced by the eerie and spine tingling 'Words Of Silences'. Next, 'Third From The Sun' is a much quicker and more frantic but just as smooth and deep techno cut with celestial pads and a heavenly sense of calm. On the b-side there's a straighter 4x4 remix from label heads Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff that offers plenty of bang for its buck.

American-born Eric Cloutier has long been a purveyor of meticulously crafted DJ sets holding residencies including Bunker New York. Recently beginning to release his own material, he carries the same approach and attitude into his productions has he has done in the past with his epic DJ sets. Deep, mysterious, and mesmerizing, have been used to describe his sound, which can be undoubtedly recognized in the smooth bassline and dubby overtones of ‘Raxeira’. In a comparable mood, ‘Palimpsest’ introduces a profound yet groovy undertone that echoes through space and time.
On the flip side Donato Dozzy, a contemporary legend of hypnotizing music, exploring the trippier side of music, finds himself as a well-suited compliment to Cloutier’s style as he dives deeper adding entrancing layers to the title track delivering a prime time piece to captivate any crowd. Cloutier’s debut on Wolfskuil Limited illustrates clarity in his path to future successes.

For The Nursery’s 20th release – an anniversary in itself – the Argentinian music machine Vladw makes his second appearance on Dynamic Reflection’s sub label. And quite an appearance it is. Even after putting out an insane amount of music since 2013, a stagnation in his productions is still nowhere to be found.

Exactly one year after his first contribution to the label, his ‘Lucid Minds EP’ hits the surface, and to say that it does its name justice would be an understatement. It floats from the acidic influences found in ‘Here, nobody surrenders’ and ‘The history will absolve me’, to the straight forward vibe on the second track, and the beautiful soundscape on the third. 

Even with this seemingly huge variety in styles, all of them are executed with equally high skill and ear for detail. This compelling composition of four very divergent tracks underlines Vladw’s talent and creativity, and to choose one favourite from it would be near impossible.
