Sitting in the car somewhere in 2005 I payed attention to the original song by Amanda Marshall for the first time in my life. There was a lot to love; the lyrics, the drama, the three-quarter time signature for which I am a sucker. So I decided to make this song mine, make it all twist and turn and shout :D Enjoy!

Afello is the musical alias of Dutch multi-media artist Paul Bierhaus. His music has a dark, glitchy and restless atmosphere which blend nicely with the subject matter of destruction and reconstruction on his solo debut “Elemental Weeks” (2012). The multilayered dance pop tracks on his debut are all distilled from original compositions on piano, where synthesizers replace certain parts or add texture while basses drone out the lower regions. He is currently working on his second release for Spin Moon Records, which can be expected at the beginning of 2014
