Afferents is the musical project of Seattle-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Raymond Sanchez. As the neural pathways that relay information from sensory organs to the brain, afferents connect the external world to our internal experiences. Drawing on influences ranging from 60's era psychedelia and jazz to contemporary indie folk rock and electronica, Raymond creates emotionally earnest acoustic-guitar driven songs that seek to bridge the gap between life's trials and the inner monologues we construct in response.
