This is the original demo of the song Once which is planned for release on the second Afflicted By Design Ep. This is a melancholy piece which features composed strings and piano with loops. The final production will be similar, but will feature a live piano performance instead of the programmed  version on this recording. For a guitar-driven Industrial band this will also be different from other tracks in that it will not have any guitars.

This is the first demo of a still untitled song which is planned for release on the second Afflicted By Design Ep. For this one I'm still going in the heavy, guitar-driven, industrial vein a la Rammstein, but I'm also trying to incorporate a little of my Billy Duffy, Robert Smith and Geordie Walker influences. I have no idea if this is successful, but those are my influences in the lead parts.

The drums are programmed and all the guitars and basses are recorded direct and I'm using a bunch of different Amplitube rigs to get the sounds. You might notice that the guitars start off a little rough. For these demos I try to go capture the idea and then rebuild. The final version is going in to production soon and will have a live drum performance and the guitars will be re-recorded.

Afflicted By Design is an Austin, TX-based Industrial Metal band founded in 2012 by S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo. As its main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Sebastian is the only official member of Afflicted By Design. Afflicted By Design pays homage to Sebastian’s Goth, Industrial and Heavy Metal roots, drawing comparisons to bands such as Rammstein, Ministry, Rob Zombie and Filter.
