This song was created for a Native Instruments Competition - used Output Thermal and a few Klevgrand plugins - Grand Finale and others like Haze to space things out. My strategy was to play with the staging and timing and also to make the drums and guitar the rhythm stars. It should feel intense at times and then others like you are drifting based on the push from the beat.

Divided into 3 parts: the war context, the explosion and the mutation of life from chaos, MECANICALIBRE explores sounds that are born from the organic textures of a jazz band merging into noise, ambient and electronics over abstract and intricate rhythms inspired by Latin-American percussion.
