I started to sit at the piano to write everyday.  I did a voice memo of every song I wrote.  The idea of this album is that it is just those voice memos.  This release has no cuts, no edits, and nothing added in post production.  It is a single take of my pieces immediately after writing them, mistakes and all.

opposite Kellogg’s diner’s sky blue and polished stainless steel awning,
in the tiny brown park with the lonely overgrown lawn bowling lane		
are oak trees with branches that reach and twist,
like life’s endless path of choices.
They split off and split off to stretch to futures both seen and unseen.
I’ve noticed that infinite choices are easier to recognize in winter, 
no longer hidden by leaves and 
distractions that warm weather bring

Black branches scratch at the BQE floated tan behind them
Where countless machine pod people 
follow their branches to their tiny end.
The pigeons fly as freedom framed by the freeway’s pillars.
stability as steel and rivets,
Math and engineering 
I don’t understand yet trust
Like the need for seasons, and hugs.

The city bellows in traffic sounds from surface streets and subway
To fuel a fire all accept is worth it.
Salmon sock skateboards and plaid sweater’d pugs, 
construction sounds as pink noise and highlighter yellows.
I got here right on time to meet a friend 20 minutes behind,
So I sit to watch the city parade and 
understand that 30 degrees is much colder 
when sat on the black polka dotted concrete
