Nocturnal Frequencies White Series is a selection of evocative techno primarily heeding its metaphorical significance. All tracks are, in one way or another, in relation to landscape music. The key is the ambiance. Ambient music surely constitutes the essence of landscape music. This compilation is made of successive landscapes: from the sweetest to the hardest, from the darkest to the brightest, from the lightest to the most oppressive one. This is a journey to listen to in one go and thus, in the midst of each of these sound landscapes, the presence of a vague human shape shall be felt.

Premiere: Rune Bagge & Iron Sight - Salvation [Nocturnal Frequencies]

https://soundcloud.com/monsoon-traxx - a match made in heaven: Das DJ Duo, bestehend aus Agi (auch bekannt als https://soundcloud.com/ostbaaam) und Sassi (die sonst als Cevab Cici auflegt) hat für Feat. Fem einen Summer Trance Mix aufgenommen. „Da der Podcast im Sommer rauskommt und wir in letzter Zeit den ein oder anderen Auftritt bei Sonnenschein hatten, wollten wir einfach entspanntere Ibiza- und Sommer-like Tunes präsentieren. Wir hoffen, dass man diese in der wahrscheinlich letzten heißen Woche des Sommers noch am Cossi oder Kulki genießen kann.“

Wie das Duo zur Musik und später zueinander gefunden hat? Beide haben den Techno der 90er und 2000er Jahre schon ganz bewusst in sehr jungen Jahren wahrgenommen. Agi brannte damals in Polen die ersten illegalen CDs mit Trance & Dance für ihre Klassenkamerad*innen, während  Sassi jeden Cent darauf sparte, sich die originellen Singles von Blank & Jones und Kai Tracid zu holen. Über Instagram haben sich die beiden dann kennengelernt und sich zum Auflegen im Conne Island Proberaum getroffen, als Agi vor zwei Jahren nach Leipzig zog. Es fiel den beiden nicht schwer, sich auf Eurodance und Trance zu einigen und fingen an, immer härter zu spielen. Ihren Ansatz beschreiben sie folgendermaßen: „Beim Auflegen versuchen wir immer die alten Sachen mit neueren Trance Hits zu verbinden. Zur Zeit zieht Agi sowohl Mut als auch Zorn aus der trashigeren Hardcore Szene in Polen, und Sassi hört sich wieder durch die ganzen alten Thunderdome Compilations durch“.

Ab Herbst kuratieren Monsoon Traxx ein Mal im Monat die neue Donnerstagsreihe im https://soundcloud.com/institut-fuer-zukunft. Ihren Fokus werden sie dort auf schnelle, tanzbare Musik legen, die sonst nicht unbedingt in allen Techno-Räumen verbreitet und akzeptiert ist. Dabei wollen sie „mehr Gabber, Trance, Bass, als auch Electro und zugleich eine mindestens 50% Quote nicht cis-männlicher DJs. Das mit der Quote wollen wir allerdings nicht versprechen, da die Anzahl der (anfangenden) Artists zur Zeit noch recht gering ist, die diese wiederkommenden Genres auflegen“. 

Mit ihrem neuen Kollektiv https://soundcloud.com/virgoleipzig möchten Agi und Sassi bald auch DJ Workshops anbieten - nicht zuletzt um neue Talente zu fördern und zu entdecken. Stay tuned, und freut euch auf Begleitmusik der letzten heißen Sommertage!
