AFQ brings the fluidity blending influences of rock together with soul and jazz. The only thing that needs to be asked is, can you feel it?

AFQ's take on this classic jazz standard represents their work as a jazz band. They started a concert series called, "Sunday Night Jazz" which they held for three years. A monthly fixture in Southwestern Michigan, Sunday Night Jazz was a showcase and celebration of not only jazz standards but multiple genres being brought into the freedom and expression of Jazz.

This ballad represents something that we know but often forget. Things happen in life that are out of our control, putting us in the darkest of places. In times like that we must always remember; No matter what, no matter how dark it gets, the sun will always rise in the morning.

Back in 2015, the first year of AFQ, we went down to Fort Wayne Indiana and recorded some covers with our good Krystal Davis. Andrew just found the tracks and thought we'd put up the music. So fascinating to see how far we've come. Enjoy this blast from the past.
