Here's a very rare interview from the vaults: Gilles Peterson and Weldon Irvine (RIP) on Gilles' Vibrazone Radio Show on Kiss 100 FM in February 1993, when Weldon was on tour with poet Dana Bryant. Tracks beeing played: Mr Clean, Bananas, Fat Mouth, Walk That Walk Talk That Talk, We Gettin' Down and Jungle Juice. At the end Gilles even gives a first hand explanation of where the term Acid Jazz comes from.

The conversation starts with a discussion on hip hop and jazz, centered around Branford's project Buckshot LeFonque, but becomes even more enjoyable when they touch sports issues from soccer to baseball and cricket and the differences between the English and the Americans in general. In the background there's music from Branford, Buckshot LeFonque, Gang Starr and others.
