Here's my Ocotber 2022 show for @Noodsradio This time I dedicated myself to Digital Hardcore. In the early 90s a group of musicians got together in Berlin and formed a label and genre under this name. Fast breakbeats, techno, noise, wave and punk were combined with political messages. Just in time to become my youth soundtrack. However, under a thick distorted layer of aggressive sounds on B-sides you can find many textures of jazz, hip-hop, Berlin school, old horror movies, post-punk and ambient. I have selected my favorites for you in this radio show. Be ready for a swim in a sea of noise.

Recorded on November 8th, 2023, at the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab (AIL) in Vienna.
This was my live solo debut, as part of the sound performance series Sonic Specters. Between Nostalgia and Anticipation.
I am grateful to AIL (@ailvienna) and Struma+Iodine (@strumandiodine) for making me a part of this beautiful program. Playing alongside Perila was a great experience, as was shaking the ceiling of the Kassenhalle.

Since 2019, Subject To Restrictions Discs strives to discover and resurface music from the swirl corners of the present and the past. Murky rhythms, minimalist folk, electro, EBM and much more can be discovered in the label’s discography. In addition to the releases, label boss Dominik André regularly hosts label nights at Kauz Club, where he takes the leftfield approach to dance music with an eclectic program. Speaking of dancefloor. Although Subject To Restrictions Discs is undoubtedly rooted in the culture of sweaty clubs and strobo lights, it can always be found front left, squinting on the dance floor.

For today’s Summer Camp radio show program, Subject To Restrictions Discs has invited four DJs and music enthusiasts who contribute to the local music scene with their outstanding music selection and commitment. Exkursion, who helps shape and mold the Zentralwäscherei project, has been a close friend and supporter of the label for years and has built an excellent reputation as a DJ. Monelle Aimée Kanza not only designs the artwork for the records, but is also a reliable source of exciting music. Being around her means the perfect vibe vibrating from the speakers. With Intermezzo and Hing, the label share a new friendship that, how could it be otherwise, has its origins in music. Intermezzo has been making a name for herself in the city for some time now. It’s always a pleasure when a new mix of hers goes online, you always discover great stuff in it. Hing also belongs to the guild of fine selectors. Everyone should listen to his radio show on Düsseldorf’s Call Shop Radio called Domestic Mind Wanderer.

Subject To Restrictions Discs will also have a small stack of his vinyl releases, which can be heard and bought on site.

yello,sade,prince as music was great in the eighties - 
..fast forwarding these foundations in music lead 
to ‘rediscovering’ disco music by the late nineties meeting 
loud-e amongst other likeminded people leading him to a 
journey of digging and discovering music far beyond imagination.

@vladimir (@offenmusic) - man who most probably needs no introduction to you, his ingenious sets has made him one of our favorite selectors in the world. He runs Offen Music, label specialized in authentic subjectivism, and has been a long time resident at Düsseldorf's infamous Salon des Amateurs. This mix was recorded at his home, and rather than being a prepared set, it shapes his recent experiences and events in a way to come back home where it was recorded. "Home-coming? no clue..."

Since 2009 Rearview Radio has been stuck in the midst of what's going off in Dusseldorf with his @themes-for-great-cities. A label that has consistently showcased the vibrant sound of its hometown like no other. Alongside side the label, he’s a highly talented DJ holding a long-term residency at Salon Des Amateurs.  

For the podcast, Rearview Radio conducted on a voyage through his night-time collection with a big mix up of Beleric Disco, club-ready Italo and early Pet Shop Boys.
