On July 14th, 150 blessed folks came through and shared some laughs, sunshine, good vibes, and a little 1-2 step at a beautiful park in downtown Toronto, for the first ever Afro Haus (https://soundcloud.com/afrohaus) Park Party! 

This was my sonic contribution to the event, alongside 7 other epic local afro DJs! From afrobeats to kuduro to gqom to afrohouse, this set was a proper tour around the continent, with a few left turns into Brazil as well! It was inspired by the infamous mid-summer, sun-soaked, vibe-filled park hangs that all of us in Toronto wait for ALL YEAR! 

It makes for the perfect soundtrack to any summer day... complete with an afrohouse remix of "Thong Song" ;) Enjoy!

August's full moon in Aquarius was by far one of my most memorable and magical nights in Toronto period ✨🔮 Basking under the rays of the moon, on a gorgeous rooftop in the downtown core, with the most open and lit audience... it was truly a symbiotic creative moment for me, inspiring what I'd say is the best set I've ever spun.

This ecstatic dance live set was bookended by a cacao ceremony at the beginning and followed by a closing sound bath. On this winding journey, you'll find delicious, rhythmically-focused dance music from all around the globe - Middle East, India, West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, Central America, and South America - that combines textures and sounds from times past with contemporary dance and popular music.

Naija oldies meets new Vol. 3 (Independence edition)

I had the privilege of putting together this tasty lil mix for Ibiza Sonica Radio's "Zulu Lounge" show with Xavier Fux. It was broadcast at 6pm on 02.02.2020 from Ibiza, ES on that palindromic Sunday in February. It was crafted in the wild weeks prior. I was knee-deep in an insane work period and hadn't created anything for myself in months, and it became a little flame for me in in the dark depths of a Toronto winter. As I created the mix, I envisioned someone vibing to it while driving around the picturesque island, enjoying the last bits of that Sunday's sun. I hope it transports you to that space & place, delivering some light & shine into your reality.

The mix moves through intoxicating & hypnotic deep house, gorgeous melodies from the Middle East, layered percussion grooves from Latin America, and of course lots of delicious sounds from all over the African continent - Mozambique, Nigeria (old & nu school), South Africa, and Mali. I had to throw in Black Coffee's take on Alicia Keys & some classic Bonobo too for good measure. Enjoy!
