Continuing their ascent through the organic house underground, Mariner + Domingo return to Madloch’s Sound Avenue with a new three track showcase. The Belgian imprint has become somewhat of a home base for the talented American duo. A cross section of Mariner + Domingo’s most beloved tracks have come courtesy of the long-standing imprint, most notably ‘Le’ Carnival’, ‘Edenwilde’ and ‘Another Life’, the latter of which earned play, support and a Beatport chart feature from world class DJ and All Day I Dream boss Lee Burridge. Now as the world looks towards a period of rejuvenation, with dancefloors taking on new levels of satisfaction after an extended silence, Mariner + Domingo charm us once again with three stunning tracks across their latest Sound Avenue vehicle ‘Inertia’.

Already a favourite of organic house trendsetter Tim Green, it is the esoteric sounds of the title selection which lead the release off. Mariner + Domingo continue to perfect their craft here, with an amalgamation of carnival inspired motifs blanketing a rich, well contoured groove and flurries of exotic percussion. Void of any traditional musicality, it’s mystical charm might be its strongest suit. Coming to an emotional peak during the interlude, the Florida residents marry indistinct vocals with breezy effects, hopeful pads and harmonic swells for an understated yet poignant peak. 

Going deeper still are the charming sounds of selection two ‘I Still Remember’. Set in motion by a lush, DJ friendly intro, Mariner + Domingo open emotional centres further with fragmented vocals and Mediterranean musicality. A thumping foundation sets the pace going forward, delighting hearts and minds with its utopian flavour, as wistful melodies ebb and flow with the main break drawing closer. Colourful pads and processed pianos rise in unison across the interlude, offering a romantic lean and conjuring up transcendent imagery for all the deep dreamers out there. Essential eyes closed material for your living room or dance floor. 

Rounding out the release are the lush qualities of ‘How Am I Supposed To Feel’. Thoughtful vocal phrasing and organic percussion sit perfectly over punchy beats and pulsating bass tones. The duo’s drifting harmonics are beautifully interwoven, creating a vivid soundscape and magical transition into a second act of broken beats and vibrant percussion. A unique and impactful transition which ultimately spearheads further vocal edits and a delicate piano infused outro. It caps off another sensational audio travelogue from Mariner + Domingo, a fast-rising duo who always seem to put their best foot forward on Sound Avenue.

Mariner + Domingo - Inertia [Sound Avenue]

Dawn till Dusk welcome the deep and organic house from Belgium's Greg Nairo, and on his debut outing for the label, he doesn't disappoint. Here he presents three exquisite tracks that are warm, effective and highly unforgettable.

On 'After the Rain', delicate melodic synths and sweeping sheens of strings float atop a beautifully hypnotic rhythm. It builds towards a desolate sounding violin and breakdown that is a stunning exercise in bittersweet melodies. Deep dance music doesn't come more high level than this.

'Alone' is wrapped in a meticulous deep house rhythm that sucks you in like a black hole. A sturdy bass, melancholic vocal sample and reverb washed synths all add to the mystery. Rest assured: this is contemplative dance music that moves your mind as much as it does your feet.

With its running bass line, the synergy is more uplifting on 'Purple Winter'. Keys shimmer in the background like wind chimes, whilst a wistful vocal accentuates the strings. There is groove aplenty here and just enough emotion to please everyone.

BIO:

Swedish-born, Berlin-residing producer Rûh returns to Ready Mix Records for release number 249, a deep cut titled 'Clay' which comes complete with remixes from Evren Furtuna and N'Pot.

Named after the Arabic word for 'soul', Rûh is quickly gaining international respect in the electronic scene thanks to his pristine and melodic production style. 'Clay' provides a great example of his evolving sound: atmospheric, warm and human with a rolling, effortless groove.

Turkish delight Evren Furtuna debuts on Ready Mix and provides a more intense, cinematic interpretation of 'Clay', with sweeping spacial synths that feel like ocean waves, plus subtle arpeggios and crisp, prominent drums.

Up-and-coming Argentinian producer N'Pot gives 'Clay' his own distinctive organic house treatment, creating a warm and inviting spiritual vibe.

Villahangar's realease for autumn 22 continue: the label releases "Bendingayazi", the new track by the emerging African artist Double Drop together with the artist, new musical promise, Xabizo. 
 
A happy return for Villahangar: in 2020 Double Drop participated in the Various Artists [#UNDERWATER] of the label released in October creating "Nguvu", an openly Afro track with killer dancefloor grooves and a very particular use of sound. 
 
For Double Drop, born Adérito do Rosário Inácio Bucuane, born in Maputo, Mozambique, in 1992, the adventure in the artistic path began in 2006 thanks to productions in genres such as Hip-Hop and R'N'B. 
In 2015 he wrote his first song under the sign of House, entitled "Riddick", by Theory of Groove Records: a national success not only for its genre of reference, as the most downloaded track for three months according to "Mais" and "Music Crib", a major national magazine and the most important digital music site in Mozambique. 
Later, Double Drop with his genius continued with releases on labels such as Labels Lupara Records (ESP), Aaron Jackson Audiophile XXL's Label America from their single "Gangsta", Audio Rehab (UK), Bodhi Records (US), Build It Records (USA), Gangsta House Rowdy (Russia), First Edition (USA) and White Widow (Poland). But also, many internationally relevant such as Afrocentric, MoBlack, Transa Records.  
His tracks have been played in the world by DJs such as Kolombo, San Shiba, Beatangers, Aaron Jackson, Mark Radford, Marc Spence, Nytron, Wasabi, Nappi. 
Nytron do Brasil, one of the most famous House Music artists in terms of Beatport sales, wanted him for a collaboration on a track to be published on Tropical Heat (Greece). 
A personal direction his, unpredictable and mysterious: passed through Hip Hop, R'N'B, Nudisco, Bass House, Tech House, Techno, today he stands out under the sign of Afro House, which reflects his positive and distinctly dense with humanity nature: coming into contact over time with many genres, for him an indissoluble artistic and creative heritage, his is a contagious sound, warm and without limits regarding creativity and fusion of styles.   
In 2018 he took a break from music, but in 2020 he returned with new creative sap, riding the evolution of the times but always tied to his roots, and he has recently released on MoBlack Records as well as two EPs: Hoyo Hoyo on WAYU, more organic, and another, Dawa on Go Deeva Records, more inclined to afro-tech. 
For the future he has in store a song in collaboration with the South African artist Vuyani that will be part of a compilation on DJ Chus' Redolent label, as well as a single that will be released on Ocha Records with the participation of his colleague Arisis. 
Joining other talented young producers at home, he decided to create his own label Xibalo, Mozambique's promising reference project that has earned a place on the international Afro scene. 
 
For his new track "Bendingayazi" made in collaboration with the artist Xabizo, great musical promise, - which title comes from 'babalaza', as the hangovers in Mozambique and South Africa are called, which later became 'Bindigaize', dizzy - he chose afrobeat sounds, exploring new boundaries and getting involved. 
And he was inspired by "Tenet", the highly acclaimed film directed by Christopher Nolan: acting in reverse just like in the film where the actions take place backwards in time, he manipulated the sample of song of the soundtrack with the same fascinating inspiration.

We're excited to welcome Wood Drift to the Do Not Sit family, a project from long time staple in the music world, Demi, along with his childhood mate, Andy Dennis from Nightwaves.. Exploring sounds across many sources and textures, the well-crafted production is evident across the three track EP, 'BuzzTap'. The final stages of the production were engineered on the Lost Orchestra Boat in Amsterdam by Ariaan Olieroock from Cubicolor.

'The Ep is a tribute to Buzzatron; a modern day superhero we all have in our group of friends we spend time with. juSt b makes her debut on the always high-concept Configurations of Self label with a stunning new EP alongside label boss Alexander Church. 

Toronto-based artist juSt b has spent the better part of the last seven years dedicated to refining a diverse palette and style which is unquestionably, uniquely her own. As an accomplished DJ, radio show host, label manager, published writer, industry ambassador, and genuine story teller, with no shortage of curveballs in her repertoire, she’s never afraid to take risks and explore new avenues of expression. With a top-rated monthly DIFM show - Undercurrents, and three European tours in 2019, she also acts as co-manager for Getting Deeper and recently joined forces with Alexander Church to head up Configurations of Self.

Yorkshire-based producer & sound designer Alexander Church is an adventurous artist, on the scene since the mid 90s, making everything from melodic soundscapes to industrial techno under a range of aliases. Without setting any creative boundaries, he draws consistent inspiration from his own deep thinking and desire to tell a personal story. 

His Configurations of Self imprint, fusing academic teachings, music, and passion for visual media, has grown signifi-cantly since its inception in early 2019, seeing frequent guest appearances by the likes of Jody Barr & James Welsh. Each piece of music represents emotional responses to the processes, feelings, and self-awareness that Church has experienced through his study of psychology and counselling. 

This new release, Configurations 12, features juSt b’s smooth, thought-provoking and mindful vocals inspired by hu-manistic view points that both artists share, delivered as life-affirming musings that add a fantastic layer of emotional depth and positivity to Church’s always avant-garde futurist productions. 

The opener ‘In The Field’ swirls with spoken word vocals that place you in a dream-like state as harmonica pads ripple all around and deep, smooth beats move you onwards. An instrumental is included which makes for just as celestial and cathartic listening as you are suspended in the lush production. 

The second superb offering, ‘Curious Paradox’, is another post-rave mix of IDM, techno and ambient, with the alluring vocal element fusing teachings from renowned psychologist, Carl Rogers, encouraging you to accept who you are today so that change becomes easier. It’s a deeply uplifting trip to the outer edges of our galaxy on gorgeously mellifluous pads, arps and melodies. The instrumental strips back the track to the mind-expanding synth work and makes for an even more detached affair. 

These are tracks that connect on a mental as well as physical level, with moving psychological overtones that make them full body experiences.
