Not my best piano improv, in my opinion, but I was mostly just experimenting with some new chord progressions I've been discovering lately. As the name suggests, the chord progressions are some I've noticed a lot in Japanese pop and other styles of music. They're interesting, to say the least.

Kick Keru Remix (WIP)

Aside from the EP I'm working on with Meltdown, I think this is my first official collab. I had an awesome time working with this excellent artist, and it was fun for me to dive into a style I hadn't ever attempted before. I'm definitely hoping to have more collabs in the future, because this is a pretty great learning experience as an artist.

Afrolizer & Biotronix - Future Glory

If any of you guys have heard my song New Every Morning, then you can probably tell what I mean when I say this is, in a way, New Every Morning 2.0. The inspiration for this song, mid-production, was Proverbs 4:18 - The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. I think out of all my songs thus far, God truly moved me to make this what it is now, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I hope you guys get as much encouragement out of this song as I did making it. Shout out to Jeremy James Whitaker for the awesome artwork!

Afrolizer - First Gleam of Dawn

So, after much time spent trying to get all this in order, Spencer and I had decided to release the tracks from our would-be Frodown EP in our own separate capacity. It was a lot of fun working on this track with him though, and even though by now this track is technically more than a couple years old, I feel it was one of our more creative ones. Album art credit to Seth Wondercheck. This would have been the artwork for the EP had we been able to make everything work out in the timeframe we wanted.

I had had this track on private for so long expecting to come back and finish it, but when the file got wiped from my computer and I had to sell off my music equipment, I knew it would be a loooong time before I ever came back to this if I ever got the chance to. 

So I just want this WIP to rest here and showcase what I was doing when I was listening to a lot of Japanese house (that's kinda the overall influence for this track).

Afrolizer - Space Travel

So I had this song sitting in private on SoundCloud for like 3 years thinking eventually I would add to it or do something with it. Considering it's been about 3 years since the last real song I've made, that doesn't seem likely, but I figured for those that still check back here every now and again I'd make this little instrumental I was working on public.

I'm hoping sometime not too far off in the future I can get back to making music like I used to, but while life continues to throw its curve balls, I'm glad to know that this hiatus isn't forever at least.

It's been months since I've been able to work on any new music. My computer has not been working properly for some reason all this time, and I would've been too busy this semester anyway. But fortunately I am taking classes for MIDI and synthesis right now, so I actually have an excuse (in fact, an assignment) to work on music now haha. 

For this one, I got to work with a Moog Voyager hardware synthesizer, Subtractor in Reason, a Yamaha MOTIF XF8 keyboard, and a whole suite of awesome Pro Tools effects and routing. Nothing fancy, it was just an assignment, but I still gave it my best for what we were required to do for such a simple final lab. Hope you guys enjoy!
