Its always fun to try out new ideas and concepts. In this song I have experimented in mixing Hip Hop into House music, i must say, this has worked awesomely good. With the original hip hop having a sort of Mellow House pad in it, it made it much easier to merge it into house. I added a few pads to support and set the mood to the song, Classic breaks , and my very own deep house Donkey bass to give the song a more deep house feel. I've also sampled the vocal to put in in a few parts in the song with a few effects added in it.

Error is my inspiration!!! from recording machine break's, Traffic, TV/Computer Glitches and the classic touch of vinyl distortion sets the perfect texture for 'Enki'. Crunchy snares swinging side-to-side supported by a tearing SAW bass modulation exploding in your face - Run!!!

Senseless, Distorted, down-pitched vocals recorded with a laptop mic - LO-Fi stuff - sets a perfect ambiance for 'Enki' with the Rhodes covering the whole song, playing duck with the kicks carries  a sad but insane emotional experience!

The escalating Synthetic Misc and  a lazy Lead dragging you along the song accompanied by the senseless vocal progression promotes the theme even more - "Enki", a god figure with no arms crying out for a cigarette, lost in no mans land!

As young as he is, he's never afraid to go too deep or include his emotions in his music, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up in a small village north of South africa and later moving to johhanesburg, both enviroments rich in indurstial 
sounds and a natural atmosphere, became his main source of inspiration, formulating the foundation for his music & art AfroMendez's productions are filled with a mutlitude of his own unique, funky field recordings. Elements of his sound include kitchen spoons, tin buckets, microwave, thatch brooms. "You can't get those type of sounds from modern day synthesizers': His sound also features Synth works and distorted bass drums all witch became infused with his own love for electronic music iwhich results in him having a mixed spectrum of musi
cal influences. His ambition was, and still is, to eradicate the stereotype that "Electronic Music is a genre for the white population", even though the genre is mainly a playground fijr white Dj's, AfroMendez firmly believes that he can be the maverick of not only the South Afrcan music scene but internationally as well. Today, 
this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of his music that he loves best; beautiful synth work, funky field recordings and occasional vocal hooks.... All on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.

A very active member of his local community, AfroMendez is no stranger to the ups and downs of a small town music scene. Though he loves playing in nightclubs, festivals and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. As a producer, he has found many ways to express himself Musically.
