Bass Incarnate, hosted by AfroOankali, celebrates bass music rooted in the African Diaspora alongside embodied mindfulness practices. Each show is a journey through genres including Bailie, Hip Hop, Footwork, Deep House, Afro Bass, Garage and 2 step with the intention to get you dancing. Bass incarnate begins with a downtempo embodiment practice, then builds up the polyrhythmic intensity before ending with some downtempo tracks to ground out.

AfroOankali serves ritual bass: a hypnotic blend of low end frequencies and polyrhythms which celebrates the Afro-Caribbean influence in electronic music. 

AfroOankali and Sarah Farina are the creative directors and bookers of Emergent Bass, with production support from Karo Lucks. Emergent Bass is an event series celebrating the Afro Diaspora influence in electronic music and underground club culture. The events give a platform to Black and POC artists who honour bass music and its origins. 

AfroOankali lives in Amsterdam and has an ongoing love affair with Berlin.
