Forever I'll Be Dreaming

After The Curfew is a 4 piece pop rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Playing together since 2011, they have recently released their debut record Trading Places.  

The first single, Closer, was unveiled with an accompanying music video to rave reviews prior to the release of the EP, helping garner the record a top 100 ranking in the iTunes charts for over a week.
The launch show for the release was also a hotly anticipated event thanks to a feature in Beat Magazine.

While maintaining a pop sensibility at its core, Trading Places’ success lies in the qualities that extend its reach outside of the mainstream, such as the extensive range of timbres and sounds used within the music that represent the bands diverse musical taste and experiences. These range through the dreamy, ambient colours of Forever I’ll Be Dreaming and Waiting, the innate danceable grooves of Trading Places and Closer and the anthemic choruses of Waiting and Apology. After The Curfew have carved their own place in a pop world cluttered by cookie-cutter acts.

Since the release the band has been receiving considerable media attention, with television performances/interviews on Live On Bowen and 1700, and a multitude of written interviews and reviews from online media outlets. 
A now constant stream of performance offers from third-parties keeps the band busy, with headline shows at Melbourne venues such as the Evelyn Hotel, Revolver Upstairs, the Espy and the Prince of Wales; along with recently supporting Triple J Unearthed High Winners Lunatics On Pogosticks on their latest tour.

As individuals, the members of the band have all carried their love of music through into tertiary music studies, learning unparalleled musicianship on their selected instrument which when combined as a single unit, creates an extremely strong live performance and song writing troupe. 

Prior to Trading Places, the band had been riding the wave of a single 3 track demo Take Cover since 2012;  achieving milestones including airplay on Triple J Unearthed radio, and opening for international acts such as Cartel and A Loss For Words. This is a testament to the evocative song writing and performance already coming from such a young band. 

Continuously honing their skills as musicians and composers, After The Curfew are moving from strength to strength and their upcoming material is sure to push them even further into the international music scene.
