The inspiration for this track came from my personal experiences navigating through challenges and obstacles in life. I wanted to create a musical journey that reflected this journey of overcoming difficulties and staying on track despite the obstacles that may arise. Ultimately, the message of the track is one of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. It's a reminder that even when things get tough, we can stay focused on our goals and continue moving forward.

It all started with a melody that kept playing in my head for days. As soon as I sat down to write it, everything else just flowed naturally. The groove and rhythm came together effortlessly, and before I knew it, I had a solid foundation for the track. The whole process was very intuitive and organic, and I think that's reflected in the final product. As for the scenery and vibe, I'd say it was just me and my studio, completely immersed in the music and in the moment.

Lingam is an Electronic music project by Yoni Weizenberg from Tel Aviv, Israel.

At the age of 3 Yoni lost his hearing (hearing only ~15%) in both ears which allows him to listen an interpret sounds on different levels.
Despite his hearing limitations, Yoni was attracted to music from a very young age and try to understand it in his own special way.

When he was 13 years old Yoni started experimenting with music.
By the age of 27 he experienced a full musical transformation and started making his own original music and eventually started his solo Indie Techno project.

Yoni's unique talent has earned opportunities to play in respected events and venues including The Block, Midburn and more.

Nowadays, Yoni is focusing on his solo career and about to release his first album including collaborations with a few respected musicians in his genre and the best is yet to come.

Tel Aviv based artist, DJ & producer AfterU drops a new single 'Mabrook' on the Abracadabra label, already picking up big plays and support from Solomun and Blond:ish.

AfterU has caused quite the sensation on the club scene, utilising his classical music training and love of electronic dance to create a unique live performance. His hybrid violin sets capture an alluring DJ mix of afro house and melodic techno, additional synths and his violin playing, processed through a multitude of effects, for a captivating and unforgettable live show.

“I started this track in 2015 with just a cool beat, bass line and some harmony, adding some little changes afterwards to make it simpler. I wanted to make something uplifting and groovy with some house elements and a happy feeling, while keeping the authentic vibe and sound and the oriental influences. So, I came up with the hook with the percussion on the drop that reminds me of the sound of “Doyra”. This is a traditional hand drum from Uzbekistan, and as I was born there, I have been influenced a lot by its traditional music. Taking these influences to this world, I tried to give the drop the vibe and rhythms of this music culture”.

“The name “Mabrook” was chosen because the track took such a long time to complete, that the first word that came out of my mouth when it was finally finished was “Mabrook”. The meaning of this Arabic word is "blessed" but it’s also an expression for congratulation, and this is exactly how I felt with the final mix down”.

“I knew from the beginning that this track would fit with Blondish and Abracadabra, and after Viv heard the track being played by some artists, and uploaded on some videos, so she wrote me asking if it’s my track. And as they say, the rest is history! I was sending my energy to Viv all along so she would finally hear this track :)”.

Welcome our new EP release features original music by Nadav Dagon, plus stunning remixes from Max TenRoM and Catatonique!

Nadav Dagon is a sizzling organic house producer whose sun-drenched tracks and live performances fuse live instruments with synthesisers and drum machines. He is an Israeli artist who has played international shows everywhere from India to Brazil, and his music has been released on prestigious record labels such as Camel Riders, 3000 Grab Records, plus his own Circle of Dreams. Nadav Dagon also collaborated with Roy Rosenfeld for a release on Guy Gerber's Rumors.

Carla Valenti collaborates on one of the original tracks in the style that the Chilean artist has featured on the likes of LNDKHN and BLOND:ISH's Abracadabra Music. The other original track has been made alongside GALGO (IL) and Yinon Dar.

On remix duty, Max TenRoM is a French artist who blends jazz musicianship with electronic sounds. Inspired by exotic sounds and different world cultures, Max TenRoM's music has been supported by people ranging from Goldcap to Above & Beyond, and his tracks can be found on imprints such as MONADA, Cafe De Anatolia and Harabe.

The second remix comes from Catatonique a Mexican duo whose downtempo style blends epic synths with immersive atmosphere and flowing percussion. Alongside releases on their own record label, Subnautique Records, their tracks and remixes can also be heard on the likes of Lump Records, Shango Records and kośa.

Opening the release is the collaboration with Carla Valenti titled, "Egypcia." The track centres around a modulating arpeggio synth that's shrouded by Arabic guitar chords and dramatic live percussion, while the thumping kick drum and throbbing bassline hold the groove steady.

"First Night Back" is second of the two original tracks, and it's a three way collaboration between Nadav Dagon, GALGO (IL) and Yinon Dar. It's a deep an atmospheric track with haunting vocals and soothing melodies, which are layered with shuffling percussion and a bassline that warps into a bubbling acid line.

Catatonique's remix of "Egypcia" focuses round a chugging section of the original's bassline, and adds new synths that give the track a chunky groove.

Max TenRom adds an Afro house vibe to "First Night Back," as his rework incorporates dramatic percussion and more prominent use of the original's vocal.
