...Fennec&amp; Wolf. It´s a project of the Cologne-based DJ Mourad Kehailia, who is following his citys techno tradition with his fresh and powerful sounds. He doesn’t simply ruminate the Rheinish techno establishment - with his sound hes chosen a different path. A path that makes his music stand out as something unique. Stripped down to it’s essentials, it excels at one of electronic music’s prime functions: to make people dance. Where other producers start getting dodgy and lose themselves in sound patterns that appear more like mathematical equations, Fennec &amp; Wolf focus on what he loves most about electronic music: letting those beats sprawl all over the urban dance floors and creating an atmosphere where we can forget everything else around ourselves. His recipe is straight forward: putting all the joy and affection he has for electronic music into his productions and sets, using clean rhythms and driving house sounds. The result creates a constant high among their audiences - something that one would not expect to find in conventional club music. “This should be played at high volume”, says the intro of the Fennec &amp; Wolf track “Losmachen” - a claim that couldn’t be more true for his music&#13;

Optische Täuschungen oder wie es besser heißen würde atypische Sehsituationen haben schon viele in die Irre geführt. Sie entstehen, da unser Gehirn das Gesehene mit gelernten Erfahrungen verbindet. Wer also öfter Donald Duck sieht als Bugs Bunny, ist eine lahme Ente? So einfach ist es leider nicht. Sehforschung ist ein kompliziertes Gebiet und die Erklärungen über die Entstehung bestimmter optischer Täuschungen sind oft schlechter nachzuvollziehen als das deutsche Steuergesetz. 
Illusionen entstehen aber auf keinen Fall, weil unser Auge faul oder tolpatschig ist. Sondern weil unser Kopfinhalt alles besser weiß. Unser Gehirn hat gern das letzte Wort beim Thema Sehen und verdreht daher ab und zu die Tatsachen. Angelehnt an eine alte Bauernweisheit könnte man sagen „Was das Gehirn nicht kennt, sieht es nicht“. In solchen Fällen wird lieber eine Interpretation des Gesehenen, welches sich an bekannten orientiert, übermittelt als das tatsächlich Wahrgenommene. Klingt zu kompliziert? Dann denk mal darüber nach warum du eher zwei Gesichter im Profil oder die junge Dame siehst.
Aber ob nun Vase oder Gesicht wichtig ist das Wesentliche nicht aus den Augen zu verlieren. Nur so ist man in der Lage hinter die Maskerade zu blicken. Wer das falsche Spiel durchschaut hält selber alle Trümpfe in der Hand und kann selbst dem alten Besserwisser im Oberstübchen noch ein Schnippchen schlagen.

Aufgrund seines wachen Verstands und seinen klaren Blicks haben wir Sascha Kloeber auf die Reise in die Welt der Täuschungen und Illusionen geschickt. Mitgebracht hat er uns eine deep story, bei der selbst Ente und Hase Hören und Sehen vergeht ;)

An optical illusion is a truly mystifying phenomenon which leads many people astray every day. That’s because our brain connects the observations of our eyes with something that the brain has already experienced before. So, if you look at a picture of Donald Duck but you’re convinced that you see Bugs Bunny, does this mean that you’re out of your mind? Well, it’s not as simple as that.
The research of the sense of vision is a complex domain of science and the cases are often more complicated to interpret than a tax law. But it’s clear that these bizarre phenomena are no coincidence. The brain thinks it knows everything better when eyesight is concerned and it won’t hesitate to distort the objective observations of the eyes.
There is an old folk wisdom which says ‘what the brain doesn’t know, it’s unable to see’. In such cases the brain prefers to guess what the eyes may have seen and tries to match the observation with something familiar it knows already. Sounds complicated?
Did you ever wonder why some people see faces in profile while others see the young lady, while they are all looking at the same picture? Or why some people see a vase while other see a face while observing the same thing?
The people who can see through this masquerade of their own making have unleashed the power to rise above the limitations of their own brain.

This deep story is a journey through the unsettling world of delusions and illusions. Such a hazardous trip is only recommended under the competent supervision of a guide with a sharp mind and a clear vision. And we found the perfect guide for this delicate mission: Sascha Kloeber.

Regentanz
Immer wieder stellt sich einem die Frage, ob man auf dem richtigen Weg sei. Ob alles was geschehen ist seine Ordnung hat und was man hätte besser machen können.  All‘ diese Fragen werden ständig überstrahlt durch Schnelllebigkeit, Konsumverhalten und Druck. Dem Druck den Anforderungen gerecht zu werden. Dem Druck etwas zu erreichen. Plötzlich wacht man auf. Schicksalsschläge zwingen uns dazu die Augen wieder zu öffnen. Ebenso wie Ereignisse, die unser Leben positiv verändern. Wir öffnen die Augen und sehen plötzlich klar: Wir sehen die Menschen die uns etwas bedeuten und spüren Freude; Zufriedenheit. Dieses Gefühl sollten wir immer in uns tragen und niemals vergessen worauf es im Leben ankommt. Das schätzen, was wir haben. Schauer ziehen vorüber egal wie lange sie dauern. Lasst uns Lernen im Regen zu tanzen… Spannt Eure bunten Schirme auf und feiert das Leben!

in dieser Woche haben wir ein Musikalisches Meisterwerk geschickt bekommen, Gitte Verfuehrt stand für uns an den Decks. 
Der Wahlberliner und Rummelsbucht Resident ist als Künstler, Mastering Engineer, Musikproduzent, DJ Tätig und produziert bereits seit über 15 Jahren Musik. Seine technoide und mannigfaltige musikalische Reise begann 1998, als er in Essen auf einem Live-Gig der Techno-Heroen "Der Dritte Raum" war. 
Nach diesem Schlüsselerlebnis folgte der Kauf seines ersten Synthesizers.
Als Tontechniker ist sein Gehör seine primäre Sinnesheimat und sein breit gefächertes technologisches Wissen sein Fundament. 
Er kann jeden Ton bis zu seiner vollkommenen Entfaltung hervorlocken und wiederum zu seinem Ursprung zurückführen.
Gitte Verfuehrt erschafft Rhythmen, die deine Gefühle befreien, dich innerlich stärken und deine Triebe beleben. 
Seine Präsenz ist die völlige Hingabe zur Musik. 
Sollte noch ein Hauch von Realität vorhanden sein, wirst du bei seinen Sets in Welten abtauchen, die du begehrst und nach denen du dich sehnst.
Du wirst anschließend mit wissendem Ohr und erfülltem Herzen voller treibender rollender Beats weiterziehen und deine Welt mit dem erlebten Glück bereichern.

Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.
