Kiosk ID no. 026 is the brainchild of Barcelona wave-benders Gespona and Mar-n Cozar. On ‘Resilience,’ the duo merges an eclecZc array of nuanced sounds with stripped groove structures, delivering a funk-infused four- tracker with three floor-focused originals and an emoZonal reimaginaZon by @remcord.

‘Resilience’ draws its infecZous dancefloor power from a groove-driven amalgamaZon of jarring, arkully intertwined sounds. Gespona and Mar-n Cozar cast classic house chord chops, a capZvaZngly choppy MC hook, and funky acousZc basslines into a pulsaZng and sexy framework – dynamic, driving, and irresisZbly danceable.

Remcord’s rework transports the original’s eclecZc soundscapes into a reverberaZng cathedral of rippling, washed-out percussion and subtle resonance. Morphing fields of pads and heavenly plucks transform ‘Resilience’ into a floaZng, hymnal ballad that casts springy clouds of ambient gliMer across a delicate tribal substructure.

‘Mambo’ is sub-heavy and peevishly spirited. ContrasZng a thunderous marZal groove, futurisZc sweeps, and overdriven impacts with a Swing-era brass secZon, ‘Mambo’ reimagines the anything-goes energies of the roaring twenZes in an electric peak-Zme crusher with a literal twist.

‘Lamari’ unfolds a funky bassline, resonaZng electric impacts, and brightly cascading synth stabs. Mythical whispers and spaced-out roboZc vocals imbue the track with powerful hypnoZc qualiZes, progressively transforming ‘Lamari’ into a slow-burning dancefloor seance.

Drawing on stripped tribal grooves, bursts of electric futurism, and playful lenfield inserts, ‘Resilience’ delivers a striking and profoundly unique brand of driving dancefloor modernism.

Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.
