Dina Summer (@dinasummer), the Berlin-based collaboration between Kalipo (@kalipo-1) and DJ couple Local Suicide (@localsuicide), are back with ‘Revenge’, the second single taken from their upcoming debut album, ‘Rimini’. The track perfectly showcases the group’s retro disco influences and feels like a journey through time. It is a fun, groovy and melodic track with washed-out synth chords, bouncy bass lines, and staccato stabs that is perfect for any listening experience.
The project is fronted by Dina P, the Greek native who lends her vocals and thought-provoking lyricism to the act. She first started performing as a teenager on local radio stations, making waves as one of the first women DJs in Thessaloniki, before later moving to Berlin where she met her husband and DJ/Producer partner, Brax Moody, to form Local Suicide. Bavarian-born Kalipo is the third member of the group who started his music career as the producer and band member of the German electro-punk band Frittenbude. While the trio initially met at a rave at the Rock am Ring festival in 2013, they only began working on music together in 2019 and have since been refining their combined sound.

Their new 4-track ‘Revenge’ EP includes a radio edit and an extended album version with upbeat synth lines and warm summery grooves. The release also includes a darker, gritty saw edit with a driving saw bass and arpeggios and a stripped-back, pulsing dark disco edit with washed guitars and plucks. All the different interpretations of the track reflect the group’s varied influences ranging from 80’s disco, 90’s electro, new wave and downbeat.

Releasing via Audiolith (@audiolith) on the 6th of July, 2022, the ‘Revenge’ EP continues the nostalgic journey through retro disco sonics that is perfect for the vibrant summer season!

NIKKNAME returns to Freeride Millenium for a new EP with remixes from Benjamin Fröhlich and Mufti, and artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.
NIKKNAME is a Austrian based producer who has appeared on this label's IMPACT compilation as well as releasing on Ombra International, Traum Schallplatten and Mangali. He is very much at the heart of the scene in Vienna and puts his musical talents on display once again here.
His opener, 'Bankai' is a rugged and muscular disco cut. The strident drums march into the future as cosmic waves and corrugated basslines flesh out the most steamy and propulsive groove. 'Ume' then brings even more brightness with loopy synth arps spiraling up to the heavens as synth bass and slapping drums make for a glamorous disco sound. A spine-tingling breakdown allows the synth work to shine before taking off once more. There are plenty of layers to the sleek and seductive 'Onira Tasaki', from the shiny bell melodies to the chunky drum funk and shimmering chords. It's another sensuous disco sound designed to bring both emotion and power to the dance floor.
First to remix is Benjamin Fröhlich, Permanent Vacation Records co-founder and another friend of Freeride Millenium who released on IMPACT. His Rave version of 'Ume' is just that - six minutes of colourful, freewheeling house with old-school chord stabs, jostling breakbeats and an overflow of euphoric emotion.
Last to remix is Mufti, a Mexican producer and contemporary disco tastemaker known for his work on Her Majesty's Ship. He zones out with far-sighted chords and a deep bassline that suspends you in mid-air, gazing at the cosmic keys and lost in a dreamy groove.
This is characterful disco from the ever-excellent Freeride Millenium.

French artist Back From The Wave joins Roam Recordings with two original hypnotic burners. The EP starts with Brothers which builds with lush pads and gritty sythwork. Mother’s Mind takes a more reflective approach and continues to build the trance inducing journey of the EP. The EP is backed by remixes from French compatriot Endrik Schroeder and Roam alumni Rigopolar. Endrik Schroeder is up first with his dreamy and melodic take on Brothers. Rigopolar rounds out the EP with a laid back version of Mother’s Mind with beautiful vocoder work accentuating the mellow vibes.

Originally from Berlins suburbs, Micropacer was introduced to house music first time at the age of ten when he was given a mixtape by his best friend’s older brother. Back then he did not know what this kind of music was, but it changed his life completely. 

Living close to Berlin as a teenager, when Clubs like Tresor, WMF, Ostgut, Polar TV and Parties like „No Ufos“ by Woody and DJ Hell ermerged, Micropacer got sucked into the music scene entirely.

The fact that he was hardly equipped with any proper musical background or training, besides some unsuccessful attempts playing the guitar, did not hold him back from taking music production more seriously. In the beginning of 2019, his first tracks have been released, just recently on Alex Niggemann’s AEON Audio label with a remix of Darlyn Vlys as well as on Kendal's Ritmo Fatale and not to forget his 12inch "Zeitgeit" on Ney York based label Melodice incl. Remixes by Marvin & Guy and Vhyce! 

His productions vary from Indie Dance, EMB, Disco to Italo and House - basically chord and arpeggio driven and uplifting synthesizer sounds.

With more releases to come, Micropacer is constantly growing as a producer and DJ. Keep your eyes and ears open!

One of Stockholm’s finest exports, Elfenberg arrive at Bordello with four slices of synthesizer goodness. The duo open with “Forever Alone”. A cruising arpeggiator steers its way through glistening snares, rolling kicks and classic italo vocals. Night falls in the jungle “Conga Coronation”. The treetops bristle with birdsong, thickets of bongos, toms and rain sticks lead a path to dawning melodies. A wonderfully textured percussive piece, the track is intricately carved and demonstrates the diversity and depth of Elfenberg. The disco dipped futurism of “Sphere Of Missing Out” follows. Echoes of “Conga Coronation” rhythms are countered by beaming synth bars and vocoder lyrics with the Swedish pair pushing for the floor. “Cosmic Tribune” is the curtain close. Astral chords, spiralling key shifts and incising drums coalesce in this space inspired finale. A truly stunning debut from this talented partnership.

After making a name in the last years with various energetic releases artists Heidenreich and ANGST vor GRETA are teaming up to deliver an EP for Heimlich Musik with remix contributions by Niv Ast and I Promised Mom.
Zarathustra is built on synthesizers touched by the 80s and vocal lines with a pinch of Donna Summer. Arpeggio basslines and aggressive snares are rounding up the original mix to create a special vibe of euphoria. Visage is taking no detour on its way to the dance floor with powerful drums and ANGST vor GRETA's signature vocals supported by strong but playful lead synthesizers.
Niv Ast picks up the main theme of the original mix of Zarathustra in his remix and adds spaced-out detuned synthesizers for an extra amount of insanity while I Promised Mom's interpretation of Visage is an evil banger emphasizing all the darkness of the original mix.

Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.
