Kishe Kishe by Sob feat. Orakull is quite a trip: The title starts as an electroacoustic dance tune, with distinctly analogue vibes and copious a voice that shifts between spoken word hypnosis and emotive singing. And then, the thing rears up into a crescendo of distortion, and all of a sudden we find ourselves dancing to an escalating rock song. The Timboletti remix presents itself in a stripped-down manner, here the rock attitude of the original reflects in the bold bite of the bassline. As it is the signature style of this talented producer, this version feels blissfully tripped-out around the vocal. The Kishe Kishe remix by Florian Rietze leads us into the vaults of a huge industrial building, where big, banging, broken beats reverberate in the dark. In the depths of this club night, the vocal sparkles like a green laser beam. Finally, there is Famine: A tune in which intertwined layers of melody become entangled with each other while dancing with the ghosts of their endless echoes.

Between his KELLER label, his work as a producer, and becoming a visual artist, ACUD has managed to come up with the most famous song lyrics of Berlin’s electronic music scene - think “Matjesfilet” or his most recent grocery hopper “Supermarkt”.
The “Jonathan” single deviates a little from those releases, with two undulating Downtempo tracks. Instead of Lasse’s famous vocals you’ll hear soothing melodies and warm synths (“Jonathan”) and rather dark bits of Disco in slowmotion (“Kaltblüter”). What can we say? ACUD is still the king of Deep Space Disco.

A lovingly crafted composition equals a passionately prepared dish. Each musical element is like an ingredient. It has a designated place and is added carefully in a specific order. The basis is always a crisp kick-bass foundation, comparable to a carefully chosen carbohydrate source. A pinch of salt here, a spicy effect for the hi hats there. Just like a delicious dish, a quality composition needs time to develop. Even here, a recipe is a good base, a little freestyle makes it even better. So that it ends up crispy but fluffy inside. The "Crispy Base" remix by Just Emma is just delicious as the original song. Overall, its a bit faster and more tech-infused. It features more LFO-driven elements, resulting in an exciting arrangement filled with fluffy breaks, a melodious drop and a allready known Deep Pan Pizza signature. In the beginning, we focused on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming.
