Etching a musical partnership that draws from the combined roots of IDM, house and techno, 
Mind Against are the Italian native but Berlin based project of Alessandro and Federico Fognini.

The biggest cliché of a “sound that’s hard to pin down”, is realer than gravity when it comes to Mind Against. They coax on psychedelic hooks of the 1980s and dance floor anthems bound traditionally to european soil. This backdrop makes for releases and performances that do well against any canvas.

Mind Against, the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini, provide a special, extended podcast for the Afterlife Voyage series’ sixth instalment. Opening with the crisp, melodic grooves of Kettenkarussell and Levon Vincent, they seamlessly progress from slick and lean house cuts towards their trademark, celestial techno sound, occasionally offering flashes of their peak-time power through bursts of white noise or mesmerising crescendos. The flawlessly coherent selections and subtle transitions find Mind Against at the very top of their game. Fideles follow up their 'Impressum' EP on Afterlife with a stunning contribution to the Voyage podcast series. Since they began DJing in the late 90s, they have favoured a deep and melodic sound; back then Moby or Massive Attack, today their own productions and those of peers on labels like Afterlife. Their Voyage podcast is a fine example of the Fideles sound, a journey that ranges from high-impact techno to dreamy synth tracks, including unreleased material and their latest single 'Cerchio'.
